don't know if anyone else is interested, but there's a new album out called "Boy Playground" which is an album of dance music programmed using Gameboy software and sounds. i got my copy yesterday and it's excellent.
anyone into their chip music or wanting a misty-eyed trip down the 8-bit path should add it to their collection :)
also, http://www.8bitpeoples.com have got a LOAD of similar stuff for free mp3 download, and their christmas album is pretty damn good too! :)

that was it - I thought it was a good ending. A bit ripped off from the original alien film though.

yeah, didn't he get stranded in space or something?
I prefer open ended endings, and it certainly was that.
on the plus side, the music for Grand Theft Auto was all in mp3 format and now the full game is a free download from the Rock Star website so that's a brucie bonus :)
i agree though, i don't see how making the musid available would harm sales, especially when so few games get origional soundtrack releases. i got the Final Fantasy 7 soundtrack, but for games like Vib Ribbon that have excellent music but aimed at a select audience, i think being able to download the music would be an excellent idea (i managed to get the Vib Ribbon music from Kazaa anyways, so hurrah!!) :)
Perfect Dark I have to say had some of the finest music ever made for a computer game. I have downloaded them all from a site (40 tracks in all) and I think they're just excellent.
With my love for music and degree in computer science, maybe when I finish Uni I should look into this field. Always fancied making my own music.
If only there was a site you could download all game music for free - all the ones I've found only have free samples, or poorly made midi copies of the originals.

best version was on the Amiga for my money :)
