No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.
Why am I trying it out anyway?
The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.
Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.
As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)
Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.
Crikey don't come in here for a day and an all out war be brewing! Meah to add my penneth in, cricket over football any day, you can drink much more beer in five days than two hours :) (Oh and the ticket prices are cheaper)
Mmmmm wetness...
At least we only have 2 days until the weekend.
Oh well.
Morning folks and a wet, miserable one it is as well.

Did you mean me?
Four or so years ago I knew very little about cricket and couldn't care less. I got into it properly when England played South Africa in the summer test series a few years back and have watched since.
Go and be free, worry not about knowing little about cricket - its usually less embarrassing to know nothing about cricket than to be knowledgeable on the subject. The same applies to maths unfortunately. Probably chess too, but I don't play very often at all.
I think we'll just end up disagreeing so you stay with cricket and I'll stick with footie :)
> Football simple - cricket way too complicated :-)
I agree that cricket is more complicated and am happy if that is a person's reason for disliking the sport, but the reason given below by (sorry, forgotten the name already) made no sense.
Also, the fact that cricket is a bit complicated has been fun over the last few days. Its nice to see people taking an interest in a new sport, especially if it helps the game, but it is extremely funny to see celebrities claiming to have loved cricket for years now that it is popular and then failing to show any actual knowledge of the game.
> If that team is in second then they also show what target they have to reach and how many wickets / overs they have left to achieve this in.
Way to many numbers on the screen :-)
> You know you will never quit that way.
I wondered how long it would take anyone to notice that :) I've stopped with the fags so that's better than I could have hoped for so far, well I had 4 last Thursday night in the pub but haven't had any since then .. spending £3.15 per week on a pack of cigars and having one a day must be alot better than spending xxx amount per week on fags!?
With cricket you may have to watch for a couple of minutes but they do show the current score for the batting team. If that team is in second then they also show what target they have to reach and how many wickets / overs they have left to achieve this in.
Simple :)
EDIT: Just noticed your new tag line. Naughty, very, very naughty. You know you will never quit that way.
> People still ask "Who's winning?" even if they claim to like cricket suddenly. All quite funny.
I think there's your point between cricket and football, you walk upto a TV where there is footy being shown, you look at the scoreboard .. Team A 2 - 1 Team B - pretty obvious who's winning, who's loosing etc.
Walk upto a TV showing cricket .. England 130 - 3 hmmm so is that good or bad .. do I start cheering or should I slump in the seat with my head in my hands .. were Oz all out for ducks or did they score 3000 runs comprising 2000 wides ... ??
Football simple - cricket way too complicated :-)
