Yes, it`s been done before.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.

Why am I trying it out anyway?

The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

I plan to sneak on to site tonight, but as two houses are now occupied the fence near our house has been removed so I can just drive on. I had no plans to dig the garden up just yet but I will as part of the pre inspection. I wanted to see how they are getting on inside the house, our alarm is due to be fitted tomorrow so I was going to see how the rest of the inside was coming on.

Heh - never knew about the bath trick, although I suppose it's pretty obvious! What amazes me is why builders keep on doing it, it only causes them more hassle in the long run?

Have you been sneaking around digging in the garden to find any concrete or bricks lately?

Without a doubt that is what they have done on this site, there is no way they have removed all the half bricks etc. Another classic is always remove the side of the bath and have a look behind it, again it is amazing the cr@p you will find.

Haha ... sounds like you've got a real good friend there, always good to have someone who knows what they are looking for and also all the little hidden things that builders try to get away with.

The classic is, dig a big hole in the garden, fill it with rubbish, push soil over it and repeat in each house. You'll be amazed at what you'll find there when you goto dig that pond out :(

Yeh, the lad that is doing the snag list for me, completed 4 sides of A4 of snags on the last house he looked at. I am already on first name terms with the Sales Director from previous problems we have had, so I am sure they will expect me to go bonkers if it is not right and hopefully as a result they will get right on it, if not I will take a few days off and camp myself in the Site Manager office until get he gets the jobs done.

I guess the real problem is the things you cannot see right away and only time will show them like your friend's garage door.

Yep, this is exactly the problem he has had, the snag list the builder produced had about 30 items to be fixed, my mate then went round and pointed out about 150 items that needed to be sorted. :O

4 years later and his garage side door started to fall away, took a closer look and the frame hadn't been fixed to the wall properly.

To say he isn't impressed is an understatement and the amount of time it took to finally get it fixed was about 3 months.

This is my only worry, for the pre purchase inspection I am using a friend of a friend who is in the trade to come up with my snag list. I will just make a pain of myself to get the jobs done, but I have heard horror stories that it is hard to get them to come and finish the snags.
