Yes, it`s been done before.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.

Why am I trying it out anyway?

The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

Food poisoning eh? Nasty stuff. You'll be right in no time though!

As for the url, you got to do the (URL) with capital letters but make sure you type the http:// bit in aswell, otherwise it will try accessing the website through ukchatforums.com.

[ URL ] http://www.adslguide.org [ /URL ] should work (obviously remove the spaces :D )

Well I have no idea what happened to that link? I put the URL part in brackets and put the link address but it came up with Ukchatforums.co.uk/blab blah blah

Very strange, anyway, thanks Bullett for sorting that, perhaps I didn't put all of it in Caps ...... ?

Doctor said I may have a slow to disappear form of food poisoning, mentioned Salmonela and another 3 and I almost fell off my chair :(

I'm now on toast and soup for the next few days.

Back when I had Freeserve BB the line wasn't active when they said it would be. I gave them a quick badgering over the phone and they got it sorted after that. If there's no dial tone, they're probably in the middle of converting it, or have simply not activated it yet. Just give them a call (I know you're trying!) and they should get things moving then.

Once the line's activated, you really can't go wrong. It's just like a standard installation - and the program tells you when you can connect the modem.

Jive - I can't get the 'click here' to connect in either post. Does it work for you or do you need a little more practice?

Morning you two,

Technology is such a mixed blessing. When it's going right you don't notice it but as soon as you have a problem it is the most frustrating thing to try and sort out.

I'm skiving today to try to get it up and running. Freeola are engaged but I've emailed them to try to find out if the Broadband was actually activated Friday. I'm not getting a dial tone and I don't know if it is for that reason or I screwed up the set up.

Jive - sorry to hear you're still suffering, hope you get sorted soon. I did try the link you left me and at least I discovered why I had a cable over. I had my suspicions but it was nice to have it clarified. I'm off to browse it again.

Bullet - You're one of the brave people, I wouldn't try to put anything in my computer (even though I should in reality be able to do it), I'd just go buy a new system!

Morning

Sleepy, did you go and look at the link that I posted for you on Friday evening? I'll do it again if you didn't.

www.adslguide.org.uk or www.adslguide.org.uk it's got a forum as well for each individual BB ISP so you can post up your problems relevant to them, you may even get technical help from their support team.

Hope everything gets sorted for you.

At home still and off to see the doctor at 10.20 this morning due to the stomach not recovering at all over the weekend :(

I'm off for a glass of water and a smoke.

Morning Boys and Girls,

Ineedsleep, I see you were having trouble setting up BB. You managed to get it done yet? I had computer woes last night, but for different reasons. I was installing a new HDD and the first problem came when the driva association letters were all screwed up (my C drive was tagged as H!?), then after a reinstall, I kept getting a load of RPC failures, resulting in my PXC shutting itself down all the time - very frustrating.

I think it's up and running now. Managed to install ZoneAlarm (which rocks) which seems to have stopped the RPC failure.

Look at me - I'mm babbling on now. It's too early!

I need food.
