Yes, it`s been done before.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.

Why am I trying it out anyway?

The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

I hate to point out the key word there for fear that Sleepy will be offended. I also hope it sorts itself out for you, I know exactly how you feel having been in the same place just last week.

Sods Law. I hope it gets sorted for you tomorrow.

That's it, I'm off for a night on the tiles now. I'm anticipating a HUGE hangover tomorrow so I hope I'll not be disappointed.

Shadow, yes but I / we don't really want to be between properties, especially as the property we're buying is only 3 doors away from where we are now.

Our buyers have signed contracts.

We have signed contracts.

Our sellers have signed their contracts.

Woman who can move to her parents and is awaiting searches, is stalling.

Sounds like you are having a bigger nightmare than I had with my house purchase.

Your solicitor should allow you to exchange contracts with the person you are selling to without you exchanging with the person you are buying from. The obvious risk is the fact that you could be left between properties.

Sorry, missed this earlier. Some of the email addresses are already set up on forwarding but, although you can download any emails you have the access rights, to you cannot send them using the correct name. Next step is to set up a free one for him and take it from there.

Ok cheers for the warning guys and gals :)

Now onto more serious matters.

Our (gfs) buyer has threatened to pull out if we don't exchange by Friday!

The woman at the end of the chain hasn't had her searches back due to the council deciding not to send them out *cough*bum*cough*!

They should be with her tomorrow, if she doesn't sign (she could sign today but has insisted that the searches arrive) on Thursday then I'm gonna open a big can-o-whip-bum on her!

Don't shout at Sky to begin with. I found when I moved that they will bend over backwards to accomodate you and not lose the account completely. I moved into my fathers for a few months and took my sky with me. I'd called to cancel it originally but they offered to fit the system FOC, new disc as well as connection.

Although I didn't take Sky to Huddersfield with me I still have the box.

Suggest to them that if they do not agree to change the account over to your name you will go with either cable or freeview, whilst they still get the revenue they cannot count you in their subscriber figures.

The main problem is that you are only allowed one interactive discount per household i.e. only one free box, they are just trying to avoid giving you a new box.

Sky asked why she wanted to cancel, she told them we were moving and that I wanted the account in my name, Sky asked her where we were going to, they took the address and said "right, now you've given us the address, if your other half calls us, we will tell him that he can't have Sky at that location as there is already an account setup in another persons name"

So basically we're stuffed and will have to leave it in her name, pathetic! I'll call them next week and shout a few ****s down the line, not that it'll do any good!

Yes BT do do BB with email, although maybe this was BTOpenworld Broadband, I can't remember - this was before christmas I'm sure, but I do know that you had to pay extra to use the SMTP servers....

BT don't do email. Get some free one or set up your own set and get a forward. That's what I do.
