Yes, it`s been done before.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.

Why am I trying it out anyway?

The PS2 forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest PS2 game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

It is just this problem. But I'm not so worried about that, as the fact that BT still charge me the same as someone with a 2meg connection due to their 'free upgrade' system.

So I could change to someone that offered 512kb cheaper or wait for BT to get better technology.

The price with £3 discount would be £23.99 a month , which includes a 20gig limit.

I will be doing some myself via the web, but they are a few things that are worth going out and getting.

Not too bad, looking forward to the weekend. How about you.

No the list has not grown yet, but the gransparents have indicated what they will buy. Going to go to Sheffield in a few weeks and get it all out of the way.

Sorry Smedlos but that's total rubbish, goto BT.com website and you'll see they can offer you at least a 2mb line. I'm sure they'll go even higher.

It could be that pb's house location is just over the 3 mile radius from his local exchange and that's causing the problem on the line.

Apparently BT can only do up to 512K anywhere. I wanted it but others could offer 1MEG for the same price on the same phone line (a BT phone line?) so I went with elsewhere.

Morning all

frag, no idea on what your computer prob is, did you replace the mobo and see if it would install ok?

pb, how's the toe :) also if BT are saying your line will only take 512k then they are probably right and wont be able to upgrade your line. Do you know anyone else in your location, ie street, that has anything higher than 512k?

sleepy, congrats on your GAD, I thought they'd stopped dishing them out as I haven't seen anyone win one around these parts for ages :)
