should i get:
1) a ps2 + a few games (about 400 quid)...from sr of course...and don't s**g it cos i know i will like it
2) a new desktop for 400 quid from hong kong :)
but check out the specs:
AMD K thunderbird 1.2 GHZ
512 DDR RAM
30 GB Hard Drive Seagate
Geforce 2
Floppy Drive
Panasonic 12x DVD
Lan Card
Sound Blaster Live
mouse, keyboard and speakers
the reason it is so cheap is cos there is no monitor and that stuff is cheap in hong kong....
SO what do you think

FM, I told you before, wrapping it in that blanket won't do it any good....

doubt it...cos i have tried them at school on my friend's computer...and they all seem to work fine
PS2 games you just pop in and play. PC

not really that big a problem...most games you don't need to read the manual to play
configuring only takes a minute or two...and the default usually is fine
installing -that's not really THAT big a problem is it??
well geforce 2 is pretty standard....actually if it isn't too much to upgrade i might get the geforce 3 :)
oh yeah the pc you can have higher resolutions :)
I'm

a few hours....you are slow to learn...that's better than not learning at all though :P....but i find the gameplay on the console the same as on the pc...just different cos i normally play different sort of games...
PC beats the PS2 for online play, granted, you just

hmm....
Personally I'm biased

The PC I use for browser based games like MUDs and

well i like playing the new games online...so i need a beefy computer...
for example my desktop is so c*ap that i can't even run counterstrike (ever since ver 1.0)...as for my laptop my graphics card is really weird in open gl and it runs horribly with d3d with most things...
It's your choice, this

hmmmm...
well ive still got a few days to decide
you can say that about the pc....but i don't get that many extras....
the problem with consoles is the online aspect...
for example on the dreamcast in quake3 for example you can only have a deathmatch with only 3 other people....a bit limiting...
the ps 2 will be better but we have to see what's gonna come out first.

well it really isn't worth upgrading in the uk...firstly seeing as for my desktop i only have a p2.....i would basically need to get a new computer....and getting it from the uk is so much more expensive
as for my laptop...i never really use it for it's mobility which is why i'm thinking of getting the desktop
...you go for SR's interest free option and pay bit by bit for BOTH a PC AND a PS2!!! Of course, as usual, terms and conditions apply!
