polluting a forum with console wars is just stupid. no one ever gives in, nothing is gained, nothing is lost. no-one would sell their machine just to buy another unless it was for their own reasons. if they're well thought out and done in a give and take debate, fine. but when its just a slur match, an argument, there's no point. i wish SR would change the example...

Yeah, I agree with that, but sometimes you find out things about your console or someone elses that you didn't know before. I'd never cange my PS2, but before three weeks ago I didn't even know XBOX had online play!!
It really doesn't bother me when people insult a console that i have cos PS3s coming soon and im not exactly gonna change my console cos someone says they dont like it.

The man has a point people, if you don't like the topic don't go into it. I know you guys, and myself, don't like console wars stuff because they push good topics off the page and are rather pointless.
But maybe if we all ignore 'war' topics and post in the good topics instead, it may actually help the 'situation' as it keeps the good topics near the top.

No, just trying to understand the logic behind pointless arguments designed solely to wind people up while offering an opinion at the end to try and sum up why I think such arguments are a waste of time. But hey, if you want to spend your free time getting red faced at one another for whatever reason, got right ahead, it doesn't bother me either way. It's great not giving a toss what other people think.
