I don't think FIFA games are particularly easy in any way: it's just the fact that they're depressingly annoying and frustrating to play.

I've managed to get a double digit scoreline on Fifa on hardest difficulty (although that's a bit of an oxymoron talking about Fifa there)
The highest i've acheieved on PES3 was a 4-0 scoreline

FIFA is not filth. It is really fun and addictive but PES3 is lots better.

Nah. The industry really can't afford for EA to get any bigger than it already is, and I think the EA logo and FIFA license wouldn't make it feel quite like a Pro Evo game.
Besides, competition is essential in any business to prevent stagnation. If it wasn't for the serious sales battle between Konami and EA, then we may not be playing the games we are today.
