I cant wait for CM5, its gonna be great. I let my mate borrow CM4 and im really regreting it right now, does anyone know the release date for CM5?

Going by their latest track record of games i'd say something that's not even fit to wear the name of Championship Manager

Ron Atkinson is a fool, you just have to see what he says on tv to know he fluked most of his stuff. For example he showed 5 clips of how well makalele was doing his job protecting the backline, he wasn't in one of them, im pretty sure he circled william gallas in another and the others were irrelevant bar one!

You've got to remeber that before the team's form dipped in 1986, Atkinson's had been a respected player-turned-manager who had led Oxford United from obscurity into the league.
And after that, he did actually lead Sheffield Wednesday well, even winning the league cup once, I think. He's not so much a bad manager, just he was always pushed getting into rather unfortunate circumstances by his employers, or managing poor teams.

I question the sanity of the man that hired Ron atkinson as the manager of Manchester United.

He has the knowhow, he was just a rubbish manager. The only good things he did whilst he was at Man Utd, for example, were win the FA Cup twice and sign Bryan Robson.

No it will be published by eidos the creators are changing. The previous ten + champ managers since the original one where built by SI Games.
SI games and Eidos have split from championship manager production.
SI Games own EVERYTHING but the name "Championship Manager", which is owned by Eidos. This means all the player stats, game engine, everything basically.
They will then take this "EVERYTHING" and because they don't have a name (ie eidos owns it) they will make up a nice new one. This name is FOOTBALL MANAGER 04/05.
This will be what you would expect from champo 5, however just to confuse you, eidos are going to continue the championship manager games and will release a game called championship manager 5, which to all intents, means they have to start from scratch and more than likely will havea all the know how of ron atkinson. I would not recommend buying this as it will probably be poor, at least try it before you buyit but i can only forssee disappointment.

you won't get the new features and tweaks, but sure you can get game updates which transfer all the players there loads on the net. I'd look for CM sorted web site or the dugout.net and theyll probably have one.

That sort of thing would be possible, seeing that stats from 03/04 would be added in. My advice is to download it, but be careful in case it contains a bug, or you install it wrongly, ruining your game and probably funking up your Sav files.

So i want to know if theres a download that just does that all for you, is it possible to update your CM4 game to CM 03/04?
