The 20,000 point GamerScore Challenge. Many websites like to follow the progress of gamers and the most common way of doing so is by monitoring the number of GamerScore (GS) points (gained by unlocking achievements) a player has.

I put this challenge to you. My individual goal (HM) is to increase my GS by 20,000 points by September 1st 2010. As this seemed a popular idea, many freeola users have jumped in with their own personal challenges.

If you are interested in joining the challenge, just post your target score and how many points you are away (or just a target amount), along with your Gamertag and I'll put you on the board below.

Keep posting updates when you unlock achievements. The best way (and most manageable) would be to post the game title and the number of points achieved from the start date of your target. For instance: if I had a Viva Pinata and unlocked 600 points, I would post: "Viva Pinata - 600 points".. Points gained from before the target date do not count.

LAST UPDATE - gr13ve - 8 games - 695 points

Lets see how we get on...

HM - 20,000 point increase

Took the weekend off from gaming and then had to take Monday off as I didn't feel good. Played a bit of Grid last night and I'm pretty close to finishing the career and the career achievements. Should have some kind of update later on as I'll probably play some this afternoon.

Got a couple more trophies on Ps3 last night, but no Xbox games at the moment, Splinter Cell coming which will be good.

I will reach my Trophy target of level 6 by September i am sure, i am 25% through level 5, so i will achieve that.

Not sure on the Xbox front if i will reach my goal or not!

I've sent back the Hazard...so thankfully there will be no more "Hazard time" for me :p

Will update you on the points I got from it soon.

I've changed my game intensive rental list into a mix between games and DVDs - so hopefully I'll have some more reviewing content for my site :)

70 more points on Grid. Not much single player stuff left to do now and then it'll be onto a new game with a bit of multiplayer mixed in.

It gets off to a bit of a slow start but once it gets going I was totally hooked. I'm going to go back through to see all the endings.

Thats good Highflyer!

I was like level 2 or 3 when i started and said i would aim for level 7, but changed it to 6 due to working on the Xbox aswell.

Hopefully Heavy Rain is fun and i will enjoy that!

Yeah, i've got Heavy Rain too, plodding through it rather slowly, attempting to get Platinum 17 on Mini Ninjas, as well as completing God of War 2 and starting Resonance of Fate (rental I recieved this morning). Think I'm close to Level 14 now, Level 13 87% iirc

You have reignited my challenge spirit!

@GP, well as Ghost...and More is a paranormal site, from experience of meeting others in the field, lots like horror movies.

I am not too keen on over the top gore and the like, but anything involving aspects of the paranormal, I do tend to watch. Still, some great films I own already I am yet to review, so don't count me out just yet Hedfix!

Got Heavy Rain coming from LoveFilm next, i has set Just Cause 2 as my top priority but guess it is in demand at the moment, so will not be pushing my GS much but can still get the trophies to aid me with the Playstation side of things!

Try get to level 6, i am 14% through level 5 so i have not been slacking on the challenge all this time lol
