Are you getting fed up about the possibility of ANOTHER X-Factor Christmas No.1? ...us too...so we're going to do something about it!

We are all buying a download of 'KILLING IN THE NAME' by RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE right NOW! until the end of Saturday 19th December (23:59pm).

THIS IS NOT A CLEVER ADVERTISING PLOY, LOOK UP RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE ON WIKIPEDIA, THEY ARE DEFINATLEY NOT SOME LARGE CORPORATE PUPPET THEY SUPPORT MANY GOOD CAUSES AS DOES THE FACEBOOK GROUP PUSHING THIS

LET'S GET RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE TO THE CHRISTMAS NO.1 SPOT THEN!

We cannot mass message all members. Facebook disable that option on large groups!

Q: So how do we do this then?
A: Take your pick(s) of the digital providers below. It should take you to the page where you can purchase your copy of KILLING IN THE NAME. in most cases it's track#2 but check before you click!

Q: Why have you used shortened links?
A: It gives us a ROUGH idea of how we are doing on sales. I can get a click count this way

Q: But there's other websites now offering RAGE for Xmas links?
A: Yes, but these links right here were created by the creators of the whole campaign themselves. They are not 'affiliate' links so therefore nobody gets any sort of 'commision'. You don't need to go anywhere else.

Q: When do i buy 'Killing In The Name'?
A: NOW until Saturday 19th December at 23:59pm

Q: Can I buy loads of downloads?
A: In a nutshell no. If the Chart company see unusual selling patterns they can ignore the bulk purchases or worse still remove the track completely. As admin I cannot be seen to encourage this

** DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT 10 TIMES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT...IT'LL JUST GET ANNULLED FROM THE CHART **

Well done to Rage, but either way it went it was a waste of a CHRISTMAS number 1...

Well Rage are number one, so i'm happy. Cowell will pretty much get a slice of any musical hits, but him and his x-factor domination is over! >:D _nn/

Gah Drago beat me to it. Simon Cowell will be seeing the profits of buying Rage songs as he has money coming in from Sony's label. The way the world works eh?

Him saying it was riduculous and childish is a bit much. Anything that raises over £75,000 for charity (regardless of actual reason for doing so) is not stupid Cowell. You are! (And that's a proper example of being childish Mr Cowell, just so you know)

Not wishing to take any side or to make a stance, it was interesting to read last week that Simon Cowell has a finger in the Rage pie as well, so he would be laughing all the way to the bank no matter who achieved the Christmas No1 success:-)

It's not really the fact that it's Rage that's truely important. You have to remember, this whole campaign was started by a husband and wife. They had no idea that there were so many people who hadn't turned into X-Factor No.1 Zombies. Simon Cowell has had a hold of the No.1 spot at Xmas for long enough, it's not a competition anymore. We all know who's going to get it. It's not like in the past, when everyone anticipated and there were was lots of excitement. So i say fair play, it's a kickback at the spoon feeding music industry of today.

I know that many corporations donate to charities...it's a good way to reduce the tax they pay.

Many corporations also thank their supporters.

I don't see how Rage are any different.

That's not to say I'm anti-Rage. I just see this as a bit silly.

Actually, RATM have shown their true colours. They're giving a significant amount of the profits to a number of charities, and have also planned a celebration gig for the fans if the song reaches number 1! So i wouldn't exactly call them 'corporate'- RATM actually have a heart. And i'm also sick of Simon Cowell being a child. He's slagging them off in the newspapers and the whole campaign, saying it's a disgrace and childish. NEWS FLASH Simon- There are successful artists in the world that aren't managed by you!

*True RATM fan here :)*

It's quite hard to do anything without "pumping money back into the corporate machine". Unless, you're me of course. All I do all day is lie on my bed. Oh darn, it's from Ikea.

Surely the real RATM fans would not buy the single for Christmas as they'd be pumping money back into the corporate machine?
