am i the only person in the world that thinks the ps2 ISN'T the best consle in the world, it was so over hyped that everybody wanted to get one just so they could say they have one. im not saying its not good, because its not bad, i have tried one!! but there not half as good as most people make them out to be, reply to this post if you agree, also if you think im wrong, tell me why the ps2 is so good,

The 'Cube is more powerful than the ps2. Its also better loking and better designed. LOOK ANOTHER "just arrived" has posted ANOTHER console topic!
Every console is a sequel of its predescessor. Why is the PS2, or the GC any different?
i can't stand people saying the PS2 is an upgrade.

The PS2 is a playstation, but more powerful. So, you expect the games to be better graphics and a faster screenrate. The PS2 has done this. What were you expecting it to do? Create an all new experience? Submerse you in a new world of VR? Make the tea and do your washing?
People are hyping the machines beyond belief. Its a console, but better than the last one. so, itll be the same as the last one, but better. The PS2 hardware is a significant improvement over the PS1, like it was meant to be, and the games are reflecting this (well, starting to, we are still in 1st generation games).
Before the release, we were expecting these beautiful games. The games on the box we now have, and they look just as good as they do on the box. There was no misleading there. The on-line stuff is on its way, so we wernt conned there either. The hardware is great, the controllers work very nicely.
The pre-order thing worked fine. What are you complaining about? There was a short supply because they couldnt make them fast enough, but there was this system that let you get in a queue and get one as soon as it was made for you. My preorder was seamless, as was my friends.
If you wanted this all new experience, blame the game designers, not the PS2. Games out allready prove that the hardware is up to all its claims, but are using it to create games that we all know and love with improvements that the hardware finally allows. The new experiences will come when the designers think of them, but thats not the fauly of the PS2, is it?
So, what did Sony offer you that the PS2 hasnt delivered? What makes you think that the Gamecube or the X-Box is going to be any different?

PS2 aint perfect but with the net and the top games it still manages to woop everything else for six.

I tried once and thought "Sod this for a bunch of bananas!" I'm going to try it again when I need to, but for now I'm just putting it off!
