I figured seeing as there seems to be a fair few people into importing like myself around here that we should have our own thread to talk about the latest American and Japanese releases and also to have a bit of a laugh at the European gamers and feel superior with our access to better games :-D

So lets get talking about the latest games coming out overseas

I fail to see your point man.

How is owning European releases any different from owning Import releases?

Sticking to European releases is actually our choice, well at least for most people. You already know that I live in Egypt. Do you know that we have all the import games here? And we don't have any of the european releases ? But I chose the european, simply because it's the official choice, knowing that buying eurpean releases costs me a fortune when ordering from the internet. It's the principal, owning original games gives them respect.

Shinten Maki: Generation of Chaos IV looks good for me. A sci fi strategy RPG. For information on it

I was so tempted to get that with the hard drive when i was in canada however i wasn't sure whether the hard drive would work on my PAL ps2 and whether or not i could have played FFXI online anyway on the american servers. So i decided against it although i may get it for PC

Katamari Damashii is absolutely awesome, my game of the year so far. The music is just.... wow. It goes from Clockwork Orange to easy listening to scatman jazz...

and what a buzz when you start getting cats and dogs stuck to your ball, then children, then adults, then motorbikes, then cars...!

Then the world is fleeing in terror from your giant sticky ball of destruction! No idea what's going on with that square headed family though.

Would take a while to get used to the controls but once you have a very addictive game i'm sure.

*tries to resist downloading it*

Yeah, the ball handles like a tank tbh. Not a bad thing though and yes, the artwork and instructions are superb. :-D

Sounds very interesting especially it's control system with the 2 analogue sticks controlling a half of the ball.

Plus the box cover rules :-D
