Excellent!

Single player looks a hell of a lot more intresting than the previous game, none of that stupid story mode nonsense. Graphics are a hell of a lot better than the last game (probably down to it not getting a watered down release on the PS2), car models look excellent, not as good as PGR2 visually...but then what is?

Only tried out a couple of car classes so far as you have to unlock the rest, but it's looking superb so far. Excellent damage system as well, I can see lots of swearage on Live as you buckle some nerds car into the railing and watch as his front wheels drop off.

Fingers crossed you'll be able to race the big rigs against some of the smaller cars. 12 car pile-ups? ooooooooooooh baby!

Yup, it was the same for the first TOCA... not as good graphics as the other racers, but so much more fun... I think it's the close quarters racing and realistic damage that does it.

Graphics wise it's not better than PGR2. But game play wise I'd say it beats PGR2 on all levels.

For me the single player is much more intresting than PGR's. Couldn't stand all those stupid cone challenges and the computer AI was just far too irritating to enjoy the races. Online play I'd say TOCA wins again, my problem with PGR2 was the way it was one race then choose another, there was no championships and there was no real variety in the cars. There's just so many different track styles and cars to get to grips with, the amount of variety in TOCA is amazing. Oh and the damage is excellent, no more slamming into your opponents every time you got to take a corner.

For me TOCA 2 is the best out of the 2. Not taking anything away from PGR2 though, it's still a damn good game, hopefully I'll go back to it once they finally get some downloadable content out. Just have to see how Rallisport Challenge holds up against both games now, we're really getting spoilt for good online racing games.

I've played a fair bit of this. It is very good, but I wouldn't say better than PGR2. I like the damage though. I remember slicing a wing mirror off, and then seeing it lie on the ground. Hilarious. For no apparent reason.

Did it also have Mitsubishi's? If it's the same one, it was on the Laguna Seca track. My car was screwed in the first race on that track :D

Yer, cant remember the name of the championship, but it had skylines and it was a very tight track, with massive drops and hills. It was like driving on a rollercoaster.

Wicked stuff and only 20% complete :D

This game is fantastic. IMO better than PGR2. The amount of different races we had last night was crazy! Rallying, Ice Rallying, Trucks, NASCAR, High speed on tight tracks...

Mental stuff. And it was a laugh too, as the majority of us were UK players getting to grips with it. The damage is very unforgiving though, and you'll soon refrain from using other cars as brakes on tight corners :D

Buy this game. You must.
