Single player looks a hell of a lot more intresting than the previous game, none of that stupid story mode nonsense. Graphics are a hell of a lot better than the last game (probably down to it not getting a watered down release on the PS2), car models look excellent, not as good as PGR2 visually...but then what is?
Only tried out a couple of car classes so far as you have to unlock the rest, but it's looking superb so far. Excellent damage system as well, I can see lots of swearage on Live as you buckle some nerds car into the railing and watch as his front wheels drop off.
Fingers crossed you'll be able to race the big rigs against some of the smaller cars. 12 car pile-ups? ooooooooooooh baby!
>The damage is very unforgivin though, and you'll soon refrain from using other cars as brakes on tight corners
:D
Yea I used a wall to turn a corner on Surfers Paradise earlier, and the wheels flew off the car, so I won't be doing that again, well not intentionally anyway. This is the sort of deterant GT4 should have, not a stupid time penalty for hitting other cars and walls, I mean GT is suppoosed to be the 'real driving simulator' afterall, isn't it?
This is just a small thing, but I like the way that all of the views are easy to use and just feel right, I like using the internal view as it feels more authentic and just adds to the experience, as does the custom soundtrack. I have Echo Park on there just now and it just goes with the game perfectly.
If you're a motorsports fan then this is simply the best racer you can buy in my opinion, on any console. Obviously I've only had this for one day and I'll need to give it more time, but from what I've played so far, I'm sure this'll turn out to be my new favourite racer.
Oh, and both single player and Live rock. I did a bit more single player today. So far I've raced in Aston Martin convertibles, Scoobies and Formula Fords.
The truck races are great too :D

Ah, the Laguna Seca track. That's my favourite track from GT and it's also interesting to watch a real race on it.
Shame because I really wanted to enjoy and tried hard, but it hasn't got the "one more try" value of PGR2 for me.
Other annoying thing in the online races is that if you get punted off the tarmac you spend about 10 seocnds getting out the gravel trap and back on track, by this time your down to last, ggrrrr
