I would like to know this.

Do you guys prefer a quick zap of text into your inboxes or would you prefer a slower but fancier presentation complete with graphics and pictures?

It's a good thing I didn't say Times New Roman!

Perhaps putting some 'style' in them would be enough. It wouldn't increwase the download time but would make it look better.

I mean a better font (Arial is so last Tuesday!), or some colour or how about putting in a bsckground colour? You know how to do that, don't you. I do.

Try some out, then post a forum like this one asking for readers' views on the style and layout, reliablility and download time and see what answers you get.

If they say change it, then do so.

Armatage's idea seemed the best so far, have a normal text mail and a link to a web based HTML version.

Other than that, I'd like to be able to recieve an HTML version of the newsletter, perhaps you could do one once every few months and have the text one still appear as normal?

Don't do HTML E-mails as some clients don't support it and it just annoys people.

I know what would be nice. Use html but don't use it too badly. A bit of colour here and there and maybe a logo for UPWIRE would be enough to make it look nicer. Too many pictures and I would be annoyed at loading times.

Why not try the system LucasArts use...

When you sign up to their News letters they ask wether you want .TXT or HTML... its pretty clear there?
