Okay, here goes…

An elderly man woke up one morning and was about to have a shave. He picked up the razor and started shaving his beard while looking at the mirror. The man then put his glasses on only to see that he had an even bigger beard but not grey like it was before and he didn’t have glasses on anymore.

What has happened here?

He looks up into the mirror, which reflects a picture on the opposite wall.

Getting very close but still have a few loose ends. IE the mirror.

SO IT'S NOT ACTUALLY A BLOODY MIRROR IN THE FIRST PLACE!

How can you say at the beginning that it's a mirror, then say "Oh no, I know I did specifically say that it's a mirror, but I've changed my mind now, it's an elephant instead".

Or whatever?

SO it's either a painting or a photo.

The mirror is actually made out of paper and has loads of ink on it.
