i think the ps2 will do better than th game cube as sony always make good games un like nintendo which has only ever brought out one good game which is wwf no mercy

i keep coming here to see if there's anything about res evil but it's all sony sony sony.
The dvd's run whisper quiet and load dead quick,cd's erm don't.
the graphics are outstanding and can only get better and as for muliplayer so what if you need a multitap the PS2 has some amazing 4 player games quake3,timeplitters,tekken,gran turismo (up to 6) ea sports and all the rest and soon it'll be online to every PS2 owner everywhere.can't get more mulitplayer than that.

Well i think clearly the person who started this topic has had too much alcohol!
The n64 and the next gen the GC has by far the best multiplayer of any console.I own a 64 and a PS,and when i want to have multiplayer fun i play my 64 because the playstations main flaw is the fact it only has 2 controller ports and the fact that they were stupid enough to repeat this in their PS2 is just beyond me.I will always love my PS for the hours of fun the final fantasy series gave me but if i buy a next Gen console it will be the GC for the clear fact nintendo loear and correct their mistakes where as sony get out a shovel and bury them,and are only kept afloat by the fools who seem to think it has fast loading speed and good graphics!!!

Devil may cry haha just had to rub that in,the only things that are res evil and can't be played on the PS2 are the saturn's RE1 battle mode and zero, rebbeca has been voted the least favourite character and voice actor a few times and there's alot going around that this will eventualy see the PS2 anyway because of the close relationship between capcom and Sony.
To own all the good resident Evil games

The PS2 has a lot going for it in the next year. There are much more games that interest me than at launch. The PS2 could become a better games console than the Gamecube if all the titles shown at E3 turn out to AAA titles.
The advantage that the PS2 has over the Gamecube is that it has more realistic driving sims (Gran Turismo 3, F1 etc.), more RPG's (Xenosaga, FFX etc.) and more games that appeal to the adults (Metal Gear, Extermination). Nintendo doesn't have a single game that can match the games above. But Nintendo also has games that the PS2 doesn't have but to a lesser extent.
After the cancellation of Raven Blade and the layoff of 26 Retro studios Staff I think Nintendo need to get more third party developers that are looking to mass produce games (i.e EA) for the console no matter how bad they are so that losses don't count for such a big one.

To own all the good resident Evil games (not survivor) you could get them all by owning a Pc a Dreamcast and a Gammecube. So you don't have to 'follow' sony.

i have to admit i was impressed with the GBA games castlevania,silent hill, heart of darkness etc but i really laugh at the way the PSone vs N64 is still going on but forget specs,price and maybe even games for a sec and just remember that the Playstation is the most popular and succesfull console ever.
yeah the PS2 is hard to program for which means third party developers will propably mess half the games up but the only problem is the jagged edges but in games like tekken tag,gt3 and devil may cry these are very very minimal and doesn't bother anybody but it's got a bad reputation for it now.
GT3 has some real amazing effects which anyone will gaze happily at. Also i love it on the DMC demo where that dude with scissors comes out of the mirror,thats a beauty to look at.
