I have one. It's on. My line is supposedly activated monday for BB. But the 'Link' light is on. And the manual says that means it's 'recieving data'. Line already on? I can't seem to get it to work properly, so I doubt it is...but...

Am I being waaay to hopeful?

I find manuals tend to do their best to confuse without actually telling you what you want to know.

Oh fair enough, I thought it was standard that you got the options by typing it's IP into a web browser but I guess different routers will have different methods.
You got one of them microfilter things on the phone socket?

No. But the manual has a load of crap about web stuff, but that's all advanced confusing rubbish.

This is the system - I have no idea if it's normal or not.

Phone socket ---- RJ11 ---> Router (+ AC adaptor of course) ----- 2 X RJ45 to PC + Xbox.

On the PC, I have a CD which is the ORIGO ADSL 'EzConfig' - this I have done. Basically, it asks what router it should use (only one) and then the Ip and gateway, which it defaults apparantly.

Then, there is the Router set up itself. You double click on a little set up icon on desktop, then type in ISP user name and password. Then you should click on 'Save & Reboot'. But that option does not come up...

That's kind of weird...
It's a web based set up thing right?

That's the thing. The Link light is on, there are two RJ45 (I think) cables from router to PC and Xbox, and another (RJ11?) connecting it to the wall. I try to set it up (It's an Origo ASR-4800) by puttin in ISP name etc, but I cannot save the settings - the option is blanked out...

If the lights green it should be activated. You sure the router is set up and has all the correct login details? Its quite common to get activated early, the date you get is the latest it will be on. If BT have nothing to do they might activate early etc.
