Am I being waaay to hopeful?
I think probably I am connected, just I'm being stupid and unable to access my Broadband through IE or anything. I just click on IE with no 56k connection on and it doesn't work. I try to get IE to use my broadband connection (Internet Options > Connections), but I cannot find it to use it, if you see what I mean.
There is nothing on my PC, other than the Link light staying on, that actually indicates whether I can use the ADSL or not. No little flashing computers at the bottom (excpet my LAN and the 56k which, obviously, is currently on). I'll phone up a mate andsee if he can come around and figure it out.
You know where it gave you the status of the LAN link and such, what did that say after it stopped flashing? Because after your last post it really sounds like it is connected now.
I got onto the advanced router options using http://bla bla and entered my ISP username and password. I clicked on 'do' (as it were) and it says 'once the Link light stops flashing, you'll be able to enjoy broadband internet!!!111'. So I wait. The light stops flashing. Where's my BB internet?
I'm sure I'm being really stupid, and thanks for any help. RRAAR!
I'll have to try again tommorrow when the line has 'officially' been activated, but I'm guessing it's all done now. And it's really quite annoying.
And other fluids.
Also of sadness.
You tried the turning it off and on again?
> If the link light is solid and not flashing your activated.
This is the thing. It is, but the router says the net's disconnected at the same time...
The router says the net is 'disconnected' (not unable or anything)
The LAN is always activated. If that's relevant.
There is no icon to click to activate the net.
I haven't a clue, and it's pis*ing me off.
