It looks good, I'll go as far as saying it looks good.
Not sure how the game will play wih pre-rendered backdrops. I think Square took a step in the right direction taking the FF series to full 3D environments for the PS2 installments, this may be interesting to see if it hinders the game any.

It's got a similar cloud/city type feel to SOA I think.
Wow. Looks amazing. Some of the pictures sort of resemble Skies Of Arcadia, except the graphics are miles beyond that - almost on a par with Final Fantasy in some areas.
