and Tales of Symphonia.
Yay!
But I think Resident Evil 4 does show off the Cube's power as does the new Zelda.
Though the animation on the old Zelda, confessingly, looks great.
It looks decent, but there are better looking games out there.
I've said I'm looking forward to playing it, but not on the merit that it looks good, and I'm quite sure that the Gamecube can produce a better looking game.
If you want to proclaim this to be the game that shows the Gamecubes abilities, then you are selling it short. I can accept that it is the best looking Gamecube title so far, but there hasn't exactly been a wealth of great looking Gamecube games apart from Metroid, the Resi games and The Wind Waker (for it's brilliant animation).
I don't know how it works only what I am told.
Look at the video with the lighting effects then....
They look great, the journalists who have played it call it the best look Resident Evil to date, People who saw the video were blown away...
But one solitary man, stands alone, Bonus, the only guy who doesn't think it looks amazing...
Maybe he needs glasses... or maybe just everyone else.
Not sure what these buitl in special effects you talk about are in relation to. If you want to give me a source for your ramblings, I'm more than interested in looking into it.

I said that the character models look good, what I said is that there are no dynamic lighing effects in the game when watching a video feed from e3.
You cannot guage dynamic lighting from screenshots. There isn't any dynamic lighting in the game.

You cannot directly compare the graphics processors of the PS2 and Gamecube, as the architecture is completely different. The PS2 doesn't have a bad graphics chip, it sufferes from lack of memory and no texture compression.
Built in special effects?
You don't have a clue what you are talking about when it comes to computer graphics, so I don't see th epoint in making a comment like that. The Xbox can do everything the Gamecube can do, and then some.
These built in special effects are called Vertex and Pixel shaders, and the Xbox has them. No if's but's or maybes about it :D
The Xbox is more powerful than the Gamecube, and can make better looking games, Doom 3 is the example :)
But I saw another video, of the battle system - which seemed pretty slow, picking cards to perform an action.

And look around - alphabetically - for all the trailers and stuff. Also, bookmark the site, because it's one of the best for new trailers. If not the best.

It is although it is shown better in the video.
But after many many years of gaming, Resident Evil 4 to me looks like one of the finest visual games of all time.
