FM licked the first three fingers of his right hand and stroked his eyebrows, smoothing them down. He turned at, white robes with simple gold embroidery down the front swishing around him as he heard the guard approach.

FM was standing in a simple square room, with four braziers, one in each corner, all burning different colours. These weren’t normal flames however, as they did not give off coloured light, and the room remained smokeless, with a white light seeming to emanate from the walls and floor, with no shadows forming. In the middle of the room were two pedestals, about four feet apart. On top of them was a box. In it was FM’s father. FM turned as the guard stopped, bowing.

“Master.” Said Sniper, raising his head, looking into FM’s cold, hard eyes.
“You have your mission? You are ready to leave?”
“Yes Master.”
“Good.” FM turned back to look at the coffin, licking his fingers and rubbings his eyebrows again as he spoke. “This is just the first part my friend. I will have my revenge, I do not know when, but I will/”
“Yes Master.” There was an edge of concern in Snipers voice.
“What is wrong, my friend?”
“I do not know, Master. I think I am worrying with no reason.”
“Ah. You are concerned about the book, yes?” Sniper lowered his eyes. “Do not fear. I will find the book. MY magic grows with each passing month, soon I will have the power needed to find the book. Then, when it is mine, I will have unimaginable power!” FM felt a shiver run up his spine as he closed his eyes, imagining the power he would wield. He looked at Sniper. “You have your orders.”
“Yes Master Meister.”
“Go. Be swift, and do not fail me.” Sniper turned and left the room.

FM turned back to the coffin. As he walked around it, his fingers traced the inscription carved into the stone. He knew them all, word for word, but their feel comforted him. They were instructions on how to travel the underworld.

Wrath exploded through Meka’s mind. He screamed “No!” in a murderous rage as he leapt off the rock. With both hands he brought the sword up while still in mid-air. When he hit the ground he recoiled, swinging it around from behind in an arc. The sword whistled with its speed. The man had turned as Meka hit the ground. Seeing Meka coming, he brought his own sword up defensively, with lightning speed.

Meka watched as if in a dream as his sword come around. Every ounce of his strength went into trying to make the sword go truer, go faster. Be deadlier. The magic raged with his need. Meka looked from the mans sword, hard into the steel blue eyes. Mekas sword followed the track of his eyes, he heard himself still screaming. The man held his sword straight up, to deflect the blow.

Everything else around the man dissolved in Mekas vision. His anger, the magic, was unleashed like never before. No power on earth could deny him the mans blood.

He finished his arc, the sword coming round at eye height to the side of the mans head. It shattered through the mans sword, and exploded through his chainmail hood, bits of molten twisted metal flying off into the undergrowth. The sword continued its journey, making contact with the mans skull, and continuing through, out the other side of his head.

Bits of bone blood and brain flew up into the air as the early morning air was filled with a cloud of red mist. Steaks of blood covered Meka, dripped down his body, dribbled off his sword as he slowly lowered the point to the ground.

The mans body crumpled slowly to the ground, blood pumping out over the ground, mixing with the puddles already there. Meka could feel the cold mist help cool his body.

“Meka!” Meka awoke, a sheen of sweat over his whole body. “Meka, my brother, are you alright?” asked Grix.
“It was that dream.”
“Again?” Meka nodded in reply.
“Come on, get up, we have to meet the others soon.”
“Who?”
“You know, the others from the village. Dan2K1, Venombyte and Ant.”
“What about er-no, and YH?”
“They said they had something to do. They will meet us later.” Grix helped his brother to sit up.
“Ok, give me a few minutes." Grix nodded and left the room. Meka put his head in his hands as he thought about the dream.

“Master Meister?” FM looked around.
“Yes?”
“I have some bad news Lord, about Sniper.”
“He hasn’t dies again has he?”
“Yes Lord, he fell off his horse.”
“How did that kill him?”
“Into the moat.”
“He can swim.”
“Yes Lord, but as he tried to climb out, he must have pulled the lever, the one you ordered put in?”
“I vaguely remember.”
“That let the piranhas in.”
“Ah. I should have expected something like this. He has a whole bloody palace to have his accidents in. I put all that sponge about so he wouldn’t hurt himself, and yet he falls into the piranha moat. Amazing. Nevermind, he will be back by now. Tell him to continue with his task. Tell him to be more careful next time.”

"So... you said you had something to show us."

"Yeah," Meka said, not really thinking about the question. "I'll get it later."

"I don't like this waiting thingy." Ant said, rolling another sugar cube around inside his mouth. "I wish we could see what it was, now."

"I think it's to do with the author not wanting to take control." Grix said, scratching his forehead. He then itched his nose with the top of his lip.

There was a knock at the door... whoever could that be?

Ant opened it before anyone else had the chance to get up. "Hey, it's Sheepy, Venombyte, Sonicrav, Pb, Mongoose Man... and... no, looks like that's it."

Meka lived rather high, you see. At one face of his house, lay a beautiful sight of trees, and at the bottom, lay a fresh running river. However, at the other side, was a cliff, and at the bottom, lay Sniper.

Ant closed the door.

"So, we're all here." FM scratched his blondbeard. "All we need now is a plot, and we'll be away."

They all sat around the table... Mongoose Man trying not to hit anyone with his antlers.

There was a *whump* at the door. It was Sniper.

The man, who wasn't Solid Snake, but was pretending to be, was sitting on the roof of Meka's house... peering down the sight of his gun, mumbling "Damn" every now and again.

"Do we have any ideas?" Pb asked, at last.

"About what?"

"The plot, Ant. We don't have one."

"Well, how about we all become pirates, and sail the seven seas." Grix asked.

"No potential... well... we could only lose Sniper overboard so many times..."

"I still think we should all go in a ship somewhere." Grix said, before adding. "Unless anyone has a better idea..."

Meka walked down the stairs again. "Oh, hi everyone."

"Hi Meka."

"Any ideas about the plot, Meka?"

He sat around the round table, and thought to himself. "Well, no. Not really."

Mongoose man rocked in his chair.

"So... err... where could we go, in this boat, Grix?" Pb asked.

Grix thought to himself. "I dunno. I hadn't thought that far."

"Boat? What boat?" Meka asked.

"We thought... well, Grix thought it would be good if we could all go on a boat. Somewhere."

Meka smiled. "Well, that's a coincidence, because I've just constructed a pirate ship..." Meka stopped speaking, and starred at his palms. "...With my BARE HANDS..."

"Was that the surprise?"

"I'm not sure. I may have many surprises."

"Don't you know?" Venombyte asked, a bit worried...

"Err... no."

Silence again.

"So are we going to go on the boat?" Grix asked.

"Where is the stupid boat?" Sniper asked, pretending to be interested.

"It's in the Pembroke Dockyard."

Everybody had forgotten about the past... perhaps a reminder was due.

By some freak accident, London was kind of destroyed. And by some freak accident, Pembroke had become the capital of the Uk. Even though it was in Wales. Obviously a lot of thought had gone into it the first time around, but obviously, it had been quickly forgotten.

"Are we going to go on the boat then?" Grix asked again...

Urgh.

Meka wiped the saliva from his face, and starred at the wall.

A man with mullet starred back at him.

Meka blinked a bit more, and attempted to focus on the man...

"Ben."

Meka looked around. His wife lay next to him.

"Why is there another man in our room."

"You tell me darling. Good night." Meka pulled the cover over to his side, and tried to get back to sleep.

----------

Ant was dancing around the room... the sugar still hadn't worn off.

"So..." Grix said, trying to push his skull inwards. "Where are we?"

"We're at Meka's house, can't you remember?" Ant grabbed onto the rope he had tyed to the ceiling, ran to the top of the stairs... and jumped off. He fell flat on the floor with a large *whump*. He got up, and ran back to the top of the stairs.

"Excuse me for asking..." FM attempted to straighten his nose out, so his glasses would fit. "Why are we in Meka's house?"

"He's going to show us a surprise... and that bloke who wanted a lift is here as well."

*WHUMP*

"Ant, stop doing that."

Ant got up, and started skipping around the room.

-----------

"I kept watch all night... wouldn't want anything happening... you saved my life, you know."

Meka lowered his eyebrows, and starred at the man a bit longer.

"Excuse me for asking, but who are you... and how did I save your life?"

----------

"I'm sure Meka has some Corn Flakes or something." Grix searched his cupboards.

"I'd rather have toast."

Grix looked straight at FM.

"I prefer toast."

"Fair enough." Grix found the bread bin, and pulled out a loaf. Uh oh.

"Err... FM?"

FM began to get up, and placed his hands on the table... he raised his lower back slowly, keeping his eyes closed... he then opened them, and moved himself, by the combination of his hands pushing him, and his legs balancing him... FM let go of the table, and took a step forward. He fell on the floor.

"Yes?"

Grix looked down on FM, who was facing the floor.

"Meka doesn't have sliced bread."

"Then slice it."

Grix looked at the bread.

A door opened, and Grix put the bread back in the bin, turned quickly, and smacked his head on the corner of the cupboard he had left open, looking for the cereal.

Meka looked down on the living room/kitchen. Ant was duct taped to the wall, FM lay face down on the floor, and Grix had his head in a sink.

"Err... hi guys."

"Hi Meka." They all said in unision.

"I'd like you to meet my new friend, he says his name is... Solid Snake?"

"Yeah."

Ant wriggled in his duct tape surround. Grix walked over, and got him down.

"Grix... that isn't Solid Snake."

Grix blinked a few times... and looked at the man.

"Then who is it?"

"I dunno. But it isn't Snake."

FM had managed to pull himself towards a wall, and was slowly getting back to his feet. He took one look at the man, and signalled for Grix to come over.

Grix mouthed 'Yeah, I know'.

Fm stood up straight... and everyone heard his back go

*click*

"Damn."

Grix was now stupendously drunk, so drunk in fact, that he started to hallucinate, or at least, the THOUGHT he was hallucinating.

He could see Meka Dragon and FM arm wrestling on the table, he could see Ant flicking sugar cubes into the air and catching them in his mouth, he could see Sniper arguing with the barman over how much they were charging for Cheese and Onion crisps, and he saw the pub door being thrown open violently as a man dressed in black body armour came flying through it in a panic.

"Everyone take COVER!!" the man yelled as he flung himself to the side. Meka and FM were just about sober enough to understand a warning, so they threw themselves quickly under the table, where Ant was already waiting for them. Sniper dived for cover over the bar, landing on top of the barman, and Grix just sat there watching the unfolding drama.

Following the body armoured man through the door came 6 genome soldiers, complete with white parkas and full weaponry, and as they entered they let rip with their AK-47s, spraying the area with deadly bullets.

Grix sat there watching as the bullets zipped and zanged around him. He took another sip of his lager as he saw the black suited man remove a SOCOM from his side and start taking out the genome soldiers one by one. Two tried to return fire, but the man was too quick for them, puncturing them with bullets before they had time to bring their guns to bear.

Within a few seconds, it was all over. Grix noticed the man was crouching down, gripping his leg, so he went over to ask if he was alright.

He wobbled over, and asked.

"Damn!" replied the man, trying to apply pressure to his leg as blood oozed out of it. "It's just a flesh wound, I'll be alright."

"Sho, er, what wash that all about then?" asked Grix again, the effects of too many lagers starting to hit him.

"Genome soldiers, they've been after me ever since I took down their base on Shadow Moses Island."

Grix pondered this. Was he really speaking to Sholid Shnake? THE Sholid Shnake? From Metal Gear Sholid? Or was he just hallushinating?

A scuffling noise was heard from behind the bar, and suddenly Sniper stood up with a big grin on his face, holding what looked like a small pineapple in his right hand.

"Hey!" he said, "Look what I found!"

Grix looked.
Grix dived for cover.

There was a loud explosion, followed by the splattering of varous Sniper bodyparts around the pub.

"Damn, was that guy with you?"

"Yesh, but itsh not important, he'll be back."

"Do you have a car?"

"Yesh."

"We need to get out of here, there could be more of them, lets move!"

The man got up, still holding his leg as he limped out of the pub. Grix tried to get up but his legs were a bit wobbly, so Meka and FM helped him up and out the door, followed by Ant, still sucking his sugar cube.

"Whoshe going to drive?" mumbled Grix as he collapsed into the passenger seat."

Meka, Ant and the body-armoured man climbed into the back seat.

"Er, that leavsh me then..." said FM taking the driver's seat. "Where to?"

"We need a safe place, know anywhere?"

"Lets go to my house," said Meka, who appeared to be the only one who lived locally.

"Okies," said FM, turning the keys in the ignition and putting the car into gear. They drove off into the night towards Meka's house, wondering just what would happen next.

(Grix, the bit about you having a secret arguement with your brain, am I right? Which is your brain? I can't remember. Just correct me if I was wrong.)

Sorry. Nothing to do with the story.

Carry on...

Well, there they were. Sitting around in the pub. Waiting. They were waiting to see if anyone would decide to actually get up and tell them all to get a move on. Nothing as of yet.

Ant recently started sucking another sugar cube and had about 50 others waiting to be sucked beside him, and he didn't seem with it.

Grix stopped popping his lips and was having a secret arguement with his brain.

FM was humming to himself with his head in his arms and pb was having another pint.

Sniper meanwhile was nowhere to be seen...
