FM was standing in a simple square room, with four braziers, one in each corner, all burning different colours. These weren’t normal flames however, as they did not give off coloured light, and the room remained smokeless, with a white light seeming to emanate from the walls and floor, with no shadows forming. In the middle of the room were two pedestals, about four feet apart. On top of them was a box. In it was FM’s father. FM turned as the guard stopped, bowing.
“Master.” Said Sniper, raising his head, looking into FM’s cold, hard eyes.
“You have your mission? You are ready to leave?”
“Yes Master.”
“Good.” FM turned back to look at the coffin, licking his fingers and rubbings his eyebrows again as he spoke. “This is just the first part my friend. I will have my revenge, I do not know when, but I will/”
“Yes Master.” There was an edge of concern in Snipers voice.
“What is wrong, my friend?”
“I do not know, Master. I think I am worrying with no reason.”
“Ah. You are concerned about the book, yes?” Sniper lowered his eyes. “Do not fear. I will find the book. MY magic grows with each passing month, soon I will have the power needed to find the book. Then, when it is mine, I will have unimaginable power!” FM felt a shiver run up his spine as he closed his eyes, imagining the power he would wield. He looked at Sniper. “You have your orders.”
“Yes Master Meister.”
“Go. Be swift, and do not fail me.” Sniper turned and left the room.
FM turned back to the coffin. As he walked around it, his fingers traced the inscription carved into the stone. He knew them all, word for word, but their feel comforted him. They were instructions on how to travel the underworld.

Wrath exploded through Meka’s mind. He screamed “No!” in a murderous rage as he leapt off the rock. With both hands he brought the sword up while still in mid-air. When he hit the ground he recoiled, swinging it around from behind in an arc. The sword whistled with its speed. The man had turned as Meka hit the ground. Seeing Meka coming, he brought his own sword up defensively, with lightning speed.
Meka watched as if in a dream as his sword come around. Every ounce of his strength went into trying to make the sword go truer, go faster. Be deadlier. The magic raged with his need. Meka looked from the mans sword, hard into the steel blue eyes. Mekas sword followed the track of his eyes, he heard himself still screaming. The man held his sword straight up, to deflect the blow.
Everything else around the man dissolved in Mekas vision. His anger, the magic, was unleashed like never before. No power on earth could deny him the mans blood.
He finished his arc, the sword coming round at eye height to the side of the mans head. It shattered through the mans sword, and exploded through his chainmail hood, bits of molten twisted metal flying off into the undergrowth. The sword continued its journey, making contact with the mans skull, and continuing through, out the other side of his head.
Bits of bone blood and brain flew up into the air as the early morning air was filled with a cloud of red mist. Steaks of blood covered Meka, dripped down his body, dribbled off his sword as he slowly lowered the point to the ground.
The mans body crumpled slowly to the ground, blood pumping out over the ground, mixing with the puddles already there. Meka could feel the cold mist help cool his body.
“Meka!” Meka awoke, a sheen of sweat over his whole body. “Meka, my brother, are you alright?” asked Grix.
“It was that dream.”
“Again?” Meka nodded in reply.
“Come on, get up, we have to meet the others soon.”
“Who?”
“You know, the others from the village. Dan2K1, Venombyte and Ant.”
“What about er-no, and YH?”
“They said they had something to do. They will meet us later.” Grix helped his brother to sit up.
“Ok, give me a few minutes." Grix nodded and left the room. Meka put his head in his hands as he thought about the dream.

“Master Meister?” FM looked around.
“Yes?”
“I have some bad news Lord, about Sniper.”
“He hasn’t dies again has he?”
“Yes Lord, he fell off his horse.”
“How did that kill him?”
“Into the moat.”
“He can swim.”
“Yes Lord, but as he tried to climb out, he must have pulled the lever, the one you ordered put in?”
“I vaguely remember.”
“That let the piranhas in.”
“Ah. I should have expected something like this. He has a whole bloody palace to have his accidents in. I put all that sponge about so he wouldn’t hurt himself, and yet he falls into the piranha moat. Amazing. Nevermind, he will be back by now. Tell him to continue with his task. Tell him to be more careful next time.”
And so Ant awoke on the island, just as a leprauchan disappeared.
"What was that about?" Tony asked.
"Just a mirage." Grix said.
And so the ground continued to rumble...
Ant stopped rising. He turned round to see golden gates open. Blocking the blinding light was a large figure...
"Grandad!!"
"Yes Ant, welcome back to the colony. We have been waiting for you."
Ant followed him through the gates into a tunnel.
"Imagine a world with no birds or Ant eaters. Above the nest is a land covered in apples that have fallen off trees..."
"No Snipers that tread on Ants?"
"No Snipers that tread on Ants and all the apples you can eat."
"Apples? What about Sugar."
His grandfather looked at him horrified.
"NO! Ants must not each Sugar. Resist the temptations or you'll end up in hell!"
Ants face dropped.
He spent his whole life believing in heaven, only to find that the real world was better...
FM said , "Oh my god have we reached the end of the rainbow ??"
Tony who was big headed in his ways said " Oh shut up FM ! It's a flippin statue not a lepricourn ! "
The golden statue / lepricourn then jumped up and said in an Irish accent :
" Oh , hello felloes , im Paddy ! Now if you kiss me fourty seven times on me tousch you can keep that little pyramid in which i live , and i'll give you fourty six wishes !!
So by now Tony was peed off as it really was a Lepricourn ! Fm chuckled , looked at tony , and then ...... Kissed the litle guy forutry six times on his tousch ! He said " Go on Tony you give him the last one !" so Tony gave the lepricourn the final kiss .... The lepricourn laughed slapped them both silly , " You fools you both had to kiss me fourty seven times each on my tousch so now ... you get ...............
Grix was on his way to check on him when he tripped over on something. He got up, brushed himself off and asked, "What the hell was that?"
FM looked closely at the ground where Grix had tripped. Sticking out like a sore thumb was a rather strange gold pyramid. It looked as though it was very small, but that was because half of it was buried under the sand.
It was rather heavy, and it just about fit in Tony's hand.
"What is it?" He questioned the others.
Everyone shrugged. Tony turned it round and studied the back of the artefact. There was what seemed to be a small red button. Tony looked at them all, shrugged, and then pressed it out.
The ground began to rumble...
------------
Meka sat back, calmly steering the ship from side to side... heading over to the large lump of land that stuck out from the sea like a large whitehead.
"Whitehead?" Meka asked.
Sorry, just trying to find a descriptive word.
Meka shrugged, and continued to steer a bit. Sniper walked up next to him.
Meka starred at him for a while, thinking to himself.
"Sniper, why are you up here?"
"I got bored."
Meka then noticed the rather damp floorboards...
"Did you put anything else in the hole that you were blocking?"
"You didn't ask me to." Sniper walked off, and prodded the mast.
"ABANDON SHIP!" Meka shouted, running for a lifeboat... when he remembered.
The rest of the crew came up to the top of the boat... well, most of the crew.
"Where's Ant?" Meka asked, searching the crowd...
"Where are the lifeboats?" FM answered.
"There aren't any."
"WHAT?"
"It was an optional extra. I just thought it would be less expensive to be careful."
"I thought you said you built the ship with your bare hands?" Grix asked...
"I lied."
Meka searched the crew again. "Ant still isn't here."
Mongoose man looked from side to side, and everyone ducked and dodged his antlers...
"Ok, I'm going back down, we can't leave Ant inside."
"What about the rest of us?"
"Well you could help me, or get to that island."
Meka walked down the stairs to the wooden room half full of water... alone.
"ANT!" He shouted... he looked around, opened the cupboard. "ANT! WHERE ARE YOU!"
He pushed hard against the door to the next room... the water was making it hard to open them, and it had risen to his belly button now...
Meka waded through, searching the cabins... "ANT!"
Another door to get through, this one was really stuck. He tried running though the water, to knock the door down... it didn't work.
He picked up a chair, and smashed it against the door... a crack appeared three quarters of the way up the door, and water spurted out of it for a few seconds... and was suddenly stopped.
Meka slammed the metal chair against the door again, and the water began to squirt through again... Meka then realised what it was.
Meka swung the chair back around again, splinting the wood, before it finally gave way... Meka had little time to breathe as the water flushed over him.
The last thing he saw before Meka passed out underwater was the dead body of Ant drifting over him...
--------------
"I don't think I've said thanks yet."
Meka pulled the blanket around him... gripping tightly, trying to wash away the last sight.
"You did, I said don't worry, and I'll say it again. Really, Meka, get some rest."
Meka said nothing as he looked up to the sky. Grix and FM had gone back, found Meka and Ant... thinking they were both dead. Meka coughed back to life in FM's arms. Ant refused to be revived.
They had all managed to get back to the island... it was all very quiet as Ant was carried back from the water. Grix lay him on the ground in front of everyone, and then walked off on his own. He hadn't come back yet.
FM tried to take his mind off things by making sure Meka was ok. The rest just sat around, mumbling quietly to eachother.
Ant had been wrapped in the flag of the ship, which was found floating near the island. He was buried at sea.
"A single day. One day. We lose a life." Meka mumbled to FM... "But why Ant... he was too young, far too young..."
Meka picked himself up slightly, breathed a bit.
"Have we explored the island yet?"
"Grix we... no, we haven't."
"Shall we go then?"
-------------
Sunset. Beautiful sunset. The death to every day, the birth to every night.
Grix looked around, Meka and FM approached.
"Hi guys." Grix said, pathetically.
"Hey Grix." FM said, while he and Meka joined his side.
There was a long silence.
"I've looked right across the island. We're the only ones on it, and the only exit is the sea..."
Fm looked at the ground, and then back at the sun again. He walked away, back to camp. "Come on," He said, as he turned and stopped. "We're not going to achieve anything by being tired. Let's get some rest."
Meka and Grix followed FM back...
It was a long night.
"What was that?"
"Hmmm?" Replied Pb.
"I distinctly heard someone moaning." Meka said back...
"Probably Sniper."
Meka turned the boat a bit, to make it look like he knew what he was doing.
"Ok, so... subplots. What've we got?"
"Well... err... there was the megadrive cartridge thing. We WERE going to have one about us getting delayed in finding the grail, but obviously we're just going to have to go and find it now..."
"Anything else?"
Pb read through the earlier posts.
"Oh yeah, one of us is going to endanger the rest of us for personal gain, but that's going to be nearer to finding the grail, I expect."
"So... err... what can we do now?"
"Well... err... there's nothing, really."
"Damn." Snake approuched from behind.
"What's wrong?" Although it hadn't been previously written or mentioned, Pb was in fact spending some time with Snake, and they were now good friends. Mongoose man was getting quite jealous, actually.
"Damn."
"Oh... right, ok." Pb turned away from Snake. "Apparently Snake can spot land to the South. As we've got nothing better to do, he suggests we head for it, hopefully making the plot a bit more interesting."
"Well..." Meka stroked his chin with his left hand, calmly steering with the second. He took off his captains hat, smoothed back his hair, and said:
"Arr, set sail to thar island, indeedy." Meka turned the boat right a bit... they were heading east, you see, which might give a clue to where the Grail is... but they weren't the best of navigators, so probably not... anyway, *cough*, they went south, towards the island. Hopefully, something interesting would be on there. Hopefully.
Meanwhile, FM was busy flicking Snipers ears. If you needed to know.
"Ah well," was FM's reply.
Grix went up to Sniper, and began an imitation of Star Wars Episode 1.
"Many things will change when we get to land Sniper...including your pants."
Everyone laughed apart from Sniper. He had never watched Star Wars.
Meka looked at Sniper, "I take it the Germans didn't forget the map, or anything? As otherwise we don't know where we're going."
"Shut up, how do I know?"
Tony went to look around, and a few seconds later he called, "Yep-they left it."
"What luck," Ant said.
And so the posse continued the journey, not knowing what hell awaited them...
"No, what?"
"It's about the right size for Sniper." Tony looked meaningfully from Sniper, to the hole, and then back to Sniper. Meka grinned, knowing what Tony meant.
"Good plan. He does look about the right size, doesn't he."
They picked Sniper up and wedged him in the hole.
"There, that'll do."
They all went back on deck.
"By the way, what was the name of that tribe we were at?" Asked Ant, looking at his maps."
"Dunno, why?" Asked YH.
"I want to see if I can find them on the map."
"Wherethefudgearwi." Said Meka.
"What?"
"The Wherethefudgearwi. It's 'cos they're so short, and the grass around is so long. When they go out they get lost. They have to keep jumping up shouting 'Where the fudge are we!?!' You see?"
"Okay Sniper. Untie us then" Said Meka.
________
"Wy are my feet wet?" Asked Venombyte, the last man that Sniper untied.
"Probably because the Germans put a hole in the bottom of the boat" Replied Sniper.
"Damn" said Snake.
Dawn broke again, and the group had decided that they had spent far too long with the pygmies already, and the story really needed to advance.
"I must tell you three things, before you leave. Firstly, I must remind you that one of your groups intentions is unjust."
Pb and Grix listened carefully.
"Secondly, look after the map, it's the only one that exists."
The pygmy chief placed his hand over his mouth for some reason... and then took it away.
"Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly... do not use the grail. It's powers are infinite, but do not mess with things that you don't understand."
Pb and Grix nodded, and left the tent.
"Why've I got the strangest feeling our paths will cross again..." The pygmy chief said to himself in the silent tent...
------------
"SET SAIL!" Cried Meka, up to Ant.
He leapt from the mast, bringing down the sail with him... FM and Venombyte tied Sniper to the front again, and away they sailed.
The map marked out where they should head... the map that the pygmies gave them showed the location of the lands in which the grail was hidden... while Tony's map showed exactly where in those lands where the grail was.
So, it was kinda inevitable...
"DAMN!" Snake shouted down from the crows nest...
"Damn?" Meka said, tying the wheel down for the moment, and running to the back of the boat. Another ship approuched them from the side.
"ALL HANDS TO DECK!"
They all ran up to deck, well, except Sniper, who wriggled about a bit.
"We're being followed. I'm guessing that they mean business."
Tony looked out from the back, and stroked his chin. "Hmmmm."
"Here's the plan." FM said. "We turn the ship portwise, and start firing."
"That's a great plan, with three major drawbacks." Pb said. "Firstly, we don't know which way port is. Secondly, we don't have any cannonballs, and thirdly, we don't have any cannons."
"Ah. Well, port is left, if it helps."
"No, it doesn't."
"Do we have any pennies?"
"No... damn! I knew we had forgot something..." Meka mumbled...
----------
"Vey will not get avay siss time!" The captain of the Fog Reich shouted... "Engage de hyper drive!"
----------
"Well, we need to do something!"
*BAM*
"Uh oh..."
The boat that was following them suddenly appeared to have gained a lot of ground... it slowed next to Meka's ship... and the crew began to jump on board...
---------
"Ok, let's have a little plot refresh." Meka said aloud. "We have just been overrun with German's. They've nicked THE ONLY MAP to finding where the bloody grail is hidden. All we have left is Tony's map."
Tony nodded.
"And now, we're all tied up in the basement. Even Snake, after his magnificent skydive into the deck managed to surprise everyone few a nanosecond, before he was tied up with the rest of us..."
Snake nodded.
"Apart from..."
Sniper opened the door to the basement, and walked through.
"Have the German people gone Sniper?"
Sniper nodded.
"Can you untie us then?" Meka asked.
"Only on one condition." Sniper replied...
"Ah."
