yes but most of the games on the dreamcast are either crap or greystation crossovers, there are loads of good games for the n64 why not buy perfect dark 97%, zelda 97%, zelda 2 97%, banjo tooie 97%, donkey kong 64 97%, jetforce gemini 93%, or conkers bad fur day 93% any one of these games will keep you occupied for months untill the gamecubes finally released and don't forget that there will be class sequels to these games so don't buy a dreampants, keep your n64 and buy some class games for it many of the games listed above can be picked up for around £20-£30 which isn't bad considering how long they will last you!

If you really want to wait for the Game Cube and dont think the n64 will last perhaps you should think of getting the dreamcast, you can pick one up for about 40 pounds second hand and it is so much better then everyone thinks!!

The question is, will your N64 keep you happy until next year?

If you've got a large catalogueof games that you're sick of it may be worth looking elsewhere for now.

If you still have loads of games that you still play now, and are happy to play, then stick with the N64 for a bit longer.

If there are still games you want for the N64, including older games, then see if you can pick them up second hand. It will give your N64 a bit more life.

As you're posting this on a Nintendo forum I assume that you're a Nintendo fan, and as such will be wanting a Gamecube, but have you considered the other options?

Go to games.ign.com and check out the Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox sections to see which console has the games you really want.

If it's the PS2, and there are already plenty of PS2 games out you want, then it depends how well your N64 is still serving you. If you're sick of it get a PS2 now. If you still have plenty to play, wait, as the PS2 will only drop in price, not get more expensive!

If you choose to wait for the Xbox or Gamecube, you've probably got at least 6 months. Again, will you're N64 serve you as a games machine for that long?

It may be worth picking up a 'stop-gap' console. The Dreamcast can be picked up second hand relatively cheaply, and theres a fine library of titles available. Likewise second hand Playstations are easy to come by. My brother bought one for £15!

If you're a real Nintendo fan then it may be more worthwhile to splash out on a GBA to keep you occupied, especially if it's the Gamecube that you're going to go for, as the Gamecube and GBA will link up for some games.

I can't tell you want console to get, just advise you not torule anything out until you've taken a long, hard look at all of the possibilities.

Personally I'm going to get a Gamecube when it's launched in the UK. Until then my N64 will keep me busy, especially with the qualitiy of some of the titles I don't have, that I can pick up second hand!

Hope that helps!

Normally I wouldn't reply to this, but what the hell... wait till they're all out, then make your decision, based on games, prices, etc.
