Wait until November when the machines come out in the US, then people will know what each console is like and which offers the best value...the PS2 will also have dropped in price by then :-)

ok slik i love my N64 to bits and its 25+ games i have for it but even you "nintendos no.1 fan" has to admit that it is also dying, and I have to say is closer then the dc and even the psx, my point was if he were bored with the n64 which can happen, then the dc is the best choice out of the consoles out now!

The N64 isn't the only console i have, as well as the n64 i have a gameboy classic, color and advance, and i certainly don't need a ps1 or a dreamcast which are both practically dead, i'm going to keep my n64, and my gameboy's and buy a gamecube and i'd advise anyone who's in the same posisition as me to do the same...but it's up to you...

Don't be fooled by listening to all these Nintendo voices - get the PS2 / Gran Turismo 3 package coming out on Friday.
The best console packaged with the best game around - you can't go wrong!

Here's how I made my choices:

I had an N64 until about the middle of 1999. Looking at the lis**tings of forthcoming games, I saw only one thing that interes**ted me: Perfect Dark. So, I sold the 64 for an extortionate amount of money, and bought a DC at release.

This was probably the bes**t decision of my gaming career. Let's face it... the N64 would not have kept me happy for long (esp seeing a PD was deayed soon after I sold the 64!)... and the PS2 has yet to show its power. Meanwhile I have Sould Calibur, Sonic, DOA2, Code:Veronica, Jet Set, MSR etc etc... all my kind of games.

Now, I am faced with the DC market drying up. However, this time round I have enough money to buy another console without selling the old one. So, that to get?

I base my decisions entirely on games, and couldn't care about "sony are sh*t etc etc" that so many fanboys give out. So, there is the PS2. This will have more developers than both the other consoles... that is simply a fact. It will also have a bigger user base due to the PSX's success. This means it will have a cons**tant s**tream of games for long to come... however, nothing excites me hugely about them... so I gave PS2 a miss. That leaves GC and Xbox. Despite being one of the few people to realise what a great console the Xbox will be, I have been so impressed by all of ninty's games that I am probably going to get a GC. So, there you have it... sonic buying a gc... what is the work coming to!
