This is shocking, he cant be on 60K a week. nobody else in the team earns over 30K. does that 15m include a signing on fee? how da hell can lungberg be on higher wages than roy keane.
Also veron is gonna be earning double the wages of roy keane. 100k a week.
CJJ007's prediction on how Real will get their money back is flawed.
Number 1:
They, wouldn't get 15 mill for replica kit of just Zidane, the money is probably the whole team. It's been said that at most Zidane will bring back 5 mill. Think about it, other player's merchandise will fall as Zidane goes up, if you want a Real Madrid mug you'll by either Zidane or Figo, you wouldn't buy both just for the heck of it, well unless your a Real nut. (See what I done there?)
Number 2: How would they get 2 mill for friendlies? Even if they do, not all of it is for Zidane, they play friendlies anyway. Real Madrid is in demand anyhow, Zidane playing against the team is just a bonus. No extra money will come of this.
In general the money the win won't compensate for the whole team, if the win 50 mill from competitions not all of the 50 mill will be used for Zidane. They would be to buy new players, to pay the team wages, take care of the club, search for young talent, pay staff, look after the Bernabou standium blah blah blah.
I have just read today that Arsenal have agreed a new five year contract with Freddie Lungberg. The player will earn about £60k per week which equates to £15m over the five years. Freddie is a very good player and has been a useful squad player for Arsenal in recent years. However, he is not a 'top bracket' player and will struggle to hold a regular first team place next season.
A year or two back everyone was shocked that Roy Keane was to earn £50k per week playing for ManUtd. Arsenal are now paying that to a player who will probably spend much of next season on the subs bench.
Where's it going to end ?????
Two transfer "windows" when all transfers take place (one in the summer one at Christmas players under 23 will have the price of their transfer decided by a panel. Players over 23 will move for half the value of their current contaact./ eg if a player has a 10 million pound contract remaining then his new club will pay 5 million for the player. Players over 18 have a lot of freedom to move. Clubs will be run mainly on trust and huge contracts to ensure players stay.
Result: Top players get richer small clubs get poorer as their young talented players are pirated away.
Wats the new transfer system?
Is it definatly gunna happen?
Zidane aint woth 48 mil
