Juve are having a laugh how did they con real into paying 48mil for zidane he is 29. That is 4 years top flight football Not worth 48 mil plus exorbitant wages I woul much rather have veron for half the price as he is better. I would only pay that kind of money for a player like totti who is younger and clearly better. I support Chelsea and I think that Veron was a great bargain and Zidane was a rip off. Out of interest how did they fund this transfer aren't they about 200 million in debt already or did they sort this out last year. Anyway what are your thoughts on Zidanes Transfer.

Realistically, Goalkeepers should be worth a maximum of about 10-15 million. To be a great team, you need a good goalkeeper and a good goalkeeper is one that doesn't concede many goals. That is basically all you need your goalkeeper to do and they are even backed up by having a defence and so they should not be worth that much money!

thats gotta be a load of crap, 30M for a keeper? The difference a keeper can make in a match is minute. there are exceptions of course, with players like schmeichel who turned games around, but Ferguson signed Schmeichel for half a million. That sort of money could be used for a world class striker or midfielder or can turn games in a instant

I will agree with you there djlethal. Goalkeepers should not be worth that much money. Also, the fact that Buffon is not even Italy's No. 1 goalkeeper, Toldo is, is another reason why I can't believe that Juventus paid so much money for him!

Again redikulus amount of money, and for a keeper f****n hell man , keepers arnt worth that much .

All I know is the fact that Juventus have signed Buffon for about 32 million pounds.

Buffon plays for Parma, you may also thinking of Toldo who plays for Fiorontina but I doubt that he went, not 30 mill for a 30 year old anyway

Juventus have also splashed out 32 million pounds on a goalkeeper from Fiorentina. I am unsure of his name but I am sure that someone here knows who he is.

Back to Zidane, from the transfer money of Zidane, Juve have just bought Pavel Nedved for £25 million- this leaves them another £20 mil for another top player. Seems like good business to me.
Juve are gonna storm the Italian league next season!
