Juve are having a laugh how did they con real into paying 48mil for zidane he is 29. That is 4 years top flight football Not worth 48 mil plus exorbitant wages I woul much rather have veron for half the price as he is better. I would only pay that kind of money for a player like totti who is younger and clearly better. I support Chelsea and I think that Veron was a great bargain and Zidane was a rip off. Out of interest how did they fund this transfer aren't they about 200 million in debt already or did they sort this out last year. Anyway what are your thoughts on Zidanes Transfer.

I will agree with you there, although Zidane plays for the best National team in the world, France. Rivaldo lays for the second best National team in the world, Brazil. Yet Figo plays for Portugal who are not exactly one of the best National teams around. But he does play for one of the best clubs in the world, Real Madrid, and so I would like to see him do something special, like you said Ortega!

yeh i agree zidane, figo and rivaldo are the top 3 players in the world. they can change the course of a game in an instant. Rivaldo's hat trick against valencia to put them inot the champions league was amazing. that sort of stuff he pulled off was sheer class. Zidane won the world cup for france. i havnt seen figo do things to the same degree though.

Most people would agree with me here when I say that the 3 best midfielders in the world, at the moment, are Rivaldo, Figo and Zidane. Figo was sold by Barcelona to Real Madrid last year, for a fee of about 38 million pounds. Zidane was sold by Juventus to Real Madrid this year, for a fee of arounf 48 million pounds.

Does anyone think that Rivaldo could be the first ever player to sign for a club for more than 50 million pounds, next year, and that the club will involve Real Madrid again?

At the end of the day, Les Ferdinand is no way near as good as Zinedine Zidane. Les Ferdinand would probably be worth about 3 million pound at the most. Zidane has just been bout for 48 million. Quite a lot of difference!

Prices are escalating way beyond any sane price figure. Nothing surprises me now:

News just in. Les Ferdinand has signed for Liverpool for £25million
