But please choose for this crucial, possible, eventual name change:
Should we be:
1 SpecialReserve.net
2 SpecialDirect.com
3 RedSplat.com
4 SRDN.com (Special Reserve Discount Network)
There can only be one.
Note that we don't own SpecialReserve.com (it's in USA hands) and we don't own SpecialReserve.co.uk as it was registered by the bloke who runs Computer Exchange to stop us getting it.
I prefer the ".com" to the ".net" whats wrong with SpecialReserve.com?
I'm sure I could find the answer to that myself but I'm too lazy.
Redsplat.com doesn't sound serious enough, not that I'm saying that this is a serious place to be, more that your deals are to be taken seriously... or something?
"Redsplat" is a bit too coloquial for my liking.
RedSplat is my vote.
No, honestly.
erm Special Direct
> Special Direct is growing on me.
You decided to keep the RedSplat.COM banner up all the same though huh? :)
Special Direct - it's the place to connect.
(and about 986 other suggestions in the extra GAD comp in the Sony forum)
If you change the name to SRDN or Special Direct or whatever, some stpuid people may not know that its the same company.
I've stuck this one last again (I gave a reason last time, which I cant remeber well enough to retype... but I stick with my opinion anyway :) )
3 SPECIALRESERVE.NET
This one is my personal favourite... However, I do think the .net is a killer... Whenever I type in names of sites I want to visit, but dont know the addy... I'll always try .com and .co.uk ... but pretty much never .net (unless its an ISP)
2 REDSPLAT.COM
I actually, quite like this one... its a instantly memorable site name... I'm just not sure if I would assoiate it with the shop (although the big red splat logo might be considered a good hint :) )
1 SPECIALDIRECT.COM
I've really put this first by default...
I really cant see anything wrong with it... Although for some reason, I'm not all that attracted....
I suspect that its just that I'm so used to Special Reserve, (even RedSplat crops up in your mag quite frequently), and that such a dramatic name change takes a little adjustment (I am after all a very sensitive boy :) )
