Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift

Its rubbish really. The story is pathetic and the set pieces are unbelievable (the Japanese Yakuza settling a problem with some punk kid by having a car race? I dont think so), but the only reason you would go to see this film is for the cars anyway and the races all look great. It was as fun to watch as the other two, possibly even better than #2 and there is a nice surprise at the end for fans of the series.

If you are wanting some great acting, a heart wrentching story and some brilliantly detailed drama, then this isnt for you. If you want Japanese girls in short skirts driving customised sports cars then I think you'll love it.

I rented it the other night, thought it was average at best Machie and while I wouldn't really recommend it I wouldn't say it was one to definitely steer clear of either. Suppose I'd give it a 6/10 if that helps?

I agree with the pb, the whole 'found footage' thing is getting rather old, although saying that there is still the odd exception that turns up every now and then. Anyone seen the Spanish horror film Atrocious? (came out back end of last year), I thought that worked pretty well, it was much better than the usual lame Paranormal Activity kind of rubbish which I imagine most people are getting pretty bored of by now.

I've heard good things about Chronicle but not seen it yet. I do think the old 'found footage' idea is getting a bit stale though.

Heh, sorry just having a little fun and wanted to revive this thread as it fell off the frontpage. Will get round to watching these movies eventually.

Anyone seen Chronicle? Would you recommend it?

Thanks David, yeah that's how I was feeling yesterday. Today I'm a lot better though. I could really do with a lucozade and a packet of Tunes.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 7.5/10

Great film, ended up watching it 3 times.

I don't know why, it's not like I've tried to avoid it. I mean it's not one of those films that's on every year.
