"Best PS2 Games Ever?"

Think of Desert Island Discs. Consider this desert island to have a nice TV and a PS2. Perhaps a pair of controllers. Maybe even a multitap and some people willing to play. And you're going to be dumped there. But you can take games. One from each category.

But what are the best games?

I don't know. Maybe you do, we all have our opinions. Just 'vote' if you will. But the voting is nominating and vice-versa. Like a notable contest with games rather than people...

Three votes, any games. Doesn't matter if they're all RPG's, or all FPS's... Whatever.

A sort of 'Best of the Best', if you will. Basically just to see what games are really worth buying and playing.

Well, I'll kick it off.

1. Dynasty Warriors 3
2. THUG
3. Disgaea

Gotta love DW3...

Yeah... FFIX was the first RPG I ever played. Love RPG's now.

I love FFIX, Kuja does indeed rock.

The only thing people seem to have a problem with is the difficulty. Yeah, it was a bit easy, but I really didn't care for a game so enjoyable.

I'd recommend 9 for RPG virgins no doubt.

And, again, 'Kweh!?" beats "Wark!?" hands-down.
While we're on it, what the feck were FFX's chocs supposed to sound like? Mangled squeak toys?

Might have to play through it for the third time and actually watch the movies....

The first time I did, but didn't really understand, was in my "world sucks I dun care about anything, go away" stage... The second time I skipped them all.

I really want to play MGS, as I was a Ninty and DC boy at the time, complettly boycotted the PSX until the PSone and FFIX came out.

Oh, and for all of you who insult FFIX...

It friggin' rocks! It's got a white haired character, who's a super-evil but pretty cool (appart from looking like an extra from a Disney porn movie), Kuja, the best summons, the best minigame (ooh, yes, I love TM more than Blitzball...) and it even has one of the coolest characters ever, Vivi, because he's a super-powerful-black-midget.

And a pretty good story line too.

Ah, Ace Combat... I remember that, vaguelly, from playing it in Austria. For about 5 minutes. Air Fighter sim, no?

Sorry but i made a pact when i was about 6 never to be anything that has the word 'crew' in it. Outgrew it around that time in my life.

It was only the Codec chats really.
I doubt even Kojima himself gave 2 shats about that ponce's love life. They were quite painful.

As for best games, Ico and Ace Combat 4 are the only ones that spring to mind. All other are multi-platform.
Those 2 really are top of the top.

All I'm going to say for now is that after an hour of Disgaea gameplay I am really, really glad that I picked up Burnout 2 at the same time...
