PS3, GC2 or xbox 2. This is the question. I suppose I will pick the console thats the most powerful and has the best games. This will quite probably be the xbox 2. But ps2 fanboys are claiming that the ps3 is going to have more power than xbox2. So how will Gc2 fare in this hard market? Their may not even be a GC2. I mean, sales of GC aren't great at the moment so will their be any point in nintendo releasing another console, possibly losing alot of money. They already have a strong grip over the handheld market, but again this could all change. Sonys new psp could dominate and nintendo may just completely go bust. So what are everyones views on this?

What!who are you to call me a idiot? Just because I assumed something that's wrong does not make me a idiot. I bet there's something about computers which you don't know, does that make you a idiot? or are you one of theese sad little people who make it known to know everything about computers, and scared to leave it for 5 mins in case you miss something? Yeah I bet you are, Geek. I know what backward compatability means now, but isn't that how most information is gathered by reading or learning of someone else? Your just one of theese people who try to knock everyone who doesn't know about computers as much as you. Now there's a idiot, you.
> I would probably change but it depends on what the consoles are like.
Exactly. Who knows how the Next Gen are going to turn out? Xbox 2 getting a head start? Could die like Dreamcast. PS3 waiting until last? Could be too late.
We'll have to wait and see
Back at E3 one journo put on his website that Xbox 2 would not play Xbox 1 games. Next day MS issued an immediate press release essentially calling the guy a total idiot and denying that this was the case. Before E3 MS hinted strongly that backwards compatibility being key to the new console's success, and Sony have already said PS3 will play 1+2 games.
When Xbox 2 comes out I'm damned if I want to have to keep a seperate black breeze block to play one set of games, in fact if it doesnt play Xbox 1 games then I probably will not even buy it, I'll just get a PS3.
Xbox 2 is going to have a completely different architecture to the Xbox, this is because MS have found new technologies and stuff to make the Xenon or whatever it's called as powerful as it can be.
Xbox one games are designed to run on Xbox1 hardware, meaning emulation will be the only way to run them on an Xbox 2.
I don't think MS are doing that though.
And, like Edgy said, just keep your Xbox if you want to play Xbox 1 games.
