Who cares, everyones biased and never completley equal, without competition Sony would monopolise the market and with competition you will have two fan based groups, one side will like sony and the other Nitnendo, (I haven't forgot Sega and Microsoft just didn't want to get complicated)
And we all like the oppositions console but in my case i think my Nintendo is way ahead of Sony and Sony fans think the opposite, It is only when things get abusive when things have gone too far.

i eant did u read past the point where it says MGS2 and GT3. What i was saying is from our(ninty fan) view MGS2 and GT3 are the only big games. Whereas u know that there are loads more.
But they won't let go. They won't stop arguing. Why can't they accept that the PS2 is a very good machine? They both are. Just because one's good doesn't mean the other isn't.

I'm a huge nintendo fan, but Rogue Squadron and Luigi's Mansion will be games i will not be going near at the Gamecube launch. Fact is, MGS2 and GT3 are the only big-name games on the PS2. I know u may not think so becasue u are deeply into the console and u know there are loads of top games, but from the outside that is what we see. Same goes the other way, all u see is luigi's mansion and rogue squadron, but we ninty fans know these are just the tip of the iceburg. Why do we argue? so we can fight for a better console, nothing gets nasty. Competition is good, we need it, we need variety.
What really enrages me is Ninty fans who know nothing about the PS2 always, ALWAYS, arguing about anything, even when they know they are in a hole the size of Lock Ness, they continue to dig themselves deeper.
The worst case happened yesterday when someone was convinced that the N64 had more racers than the PSone. They kept arguing because they don't know about all the really crap racers that came out every month. Anyone who buys PSone mags will know there was about 2 reviewed each issue. But no, they continued to argue and argue, BECAUSE THEY NOTHING ABOUT SONY BUT THEY THINK THEY DO.
Another horrific example is the whole "PS2 has no great games" saga because they have only heard of MGS2 and GT3, therefore they assume that those are the only two decent games. Well, anyone who owns a PS2 can tell you for a fact that that is utter rubbish!
Now, I don't know anything about the GC games, apart from that there's a Luigi's Mansion and something about Rogue Squadron, or something. But only because these are the only two titles I have heard of, doesn't mean that there is nothing else. Of course there's going to be other good games, but I don't know of them because I don't follow Ninty games.

You can't stop being biased to a certain console if you don't like the opposition, if everyone agreed with each other it just would seem fake and unatural.
If i said the said i was a hardcore Ninty fan and that Sony suck i would be called biased but i can't help the way i feel to Sony, it is a love or hate relationship. You could compare to two girls who hate each other and both fancy you, people could call you biased if you go for the one with the bigger, ummm boobs ;P but that may not be the reason, because you may just prefer that girl in particular.
Being biased is natural, because you can't help the way your mind works with things like that. Biasism has been around for a long time and has been with consoles since they started, and believe me it will not end now, no matter how much people complain.
Me myself prefer Sega and Ninty to Sony, and i sometimes i might make the odd biased comment about Sony and the PS2 but this doesn't make me a bad person, it doesn't make you think differently about the company and console, and it certainly does not make the console worse.
But, why do people complain about people being biased to the console they love?? Well it is because they don't agree with what you think so they say you are being biased, but at the same time they are being biased in their own way, but they do not realise this.

Being an old SNES owner and now owning a PS1 and PS2 I guess i must be stuck in the middle. I wasnt too happy with the N64, my friend bought one and it didn't appeal to me as I was happy with my PS1. Recently I bouht a PS2, why? because to me looks like a good console with promising titles. I won't be buying a GC or X-box as Im not made of money. Everyone has the right to choose what they wish to own, so why make fun of someone who owns something else?
Is it fear that there console could become better? Or do you just dislike the person?

Makes developers try harder to produce a better game, if there was no competition would they try so hard to make good games? Or just release a game to make money off it?
