he had the settings turned down, and it looks great, it feels great, and its really not as scary as people are saying.
really when something jumps out at you, you just jump and then laugh as you shotguhn off its head.
its put me in a great mood for the xbox version.
*shrugs*
Could be wrong though, it's just something I saw earlier and can't be bothered to check out more.
By downloading a game you haven't paid for, you are guilty of piracy. And piracy, as our government tells us, funds terrorism and criminals and smugglers and other evils.
You can't say "Well there are more pressing things" simply because you've broken the law by downloading Doom 3 and not paying for it.
That's no different to somebody smoking dope, they don't think they're committing a crime either.
You either uphold your shiny staff of justice, or realise you are no different to other people that think "Yeah but what I do isn't really a crime"
It is, especially in your black and white world where you can berate Timmargh for using pot for medicinal purposes.
You've broken the law simply to play a game a week early and save yourself £25.
Tut tut, you'll never be admitted to Special CIA Training Academy now - no matter how many Rainbow Six games you play.
Though to be honest, if the authorities want to crack down on illegal funding sources there are far more pressing things to look at such as people smuggling, drugs, counterfeiting, forced prostitution, illegal pornography etc
As for the anti piracy messages, they should just say that it gets people unemployed. Because that's the only truth that isn't overly exxagerated.
The mess that is Doom 3 lies 100% with ID - I mean how retarded can you get going for a delayed launch in the UK? UK retailers have lost sales from people importing and people downloading it. Plus in this day and age would it not be an idea to spend some of the vast development budget on anti-piracy features - how about CD Key's being verified via the net instead of just offline - face it, if you can run Doon 3 then you have internet access.
There's like some fat guy, fire and a load of "pirated" cd's everywhere, as if to emulate some sort of vision from Hell.
"Piracy funds criminals, helps to pay for their 'causes' and will herald the arrival of Saytan upon our planet" etc etc, whilst I peruse a wall of 19384 copies of the latest Paramount P.O.S release.
> Downloading games gives money and games to terrorists!!!!
That message on my donnie darko dvd cracks me up everytime.
"Pirating funds organised crime. Pirating burns a hole in your pocket. Pirating funds terrorism"
*chuckles*
Thanks Bell, I wasn't aware of that.
