Mainly as Machie and I seem to spend half the time on the WLT chatting about Doctor Who...

Here's my current favourites;

Best Classic Episode: Genesis of the Daleks (Tom Baker)

Best Classic Doctor: Late 7th Doctor - when the stories got darker and the character really developed into something more than just a Timelord.

Best DVD: The Invasion

Best New Doctor Who Episode: Army of Ghosts / Doomsday

Macra, though. Great. One of the least likely villans to bring back!

And the whole 'you are not alone' thing is going to run through the series. Got to be another Timelord, only not a timelord, as he is the last one...

So once a Timelord but now something else...

I didn't think the episode today was too bad. Well, the concept of the 'motorway' was good at least.

And yeah, I've noticed that structure going on as well.

They really don't need to use the cats as much, they're not a particularly original idea.

Daleks :) how could it not be.

By the way, has anyone else noticed the same story structure as from the tenth doctor?

Back to the past, meet a famous writer.
Off to the year 5 billion, meet some cats
Off to a strange secret place, meet some daleks.

Swap episode 2 and 3 around, and its even the same order!

Trainee Doctor.

Next weeks promises a treat for anyone who's a fan of the Classic Series. No ideas as to what that could be yet, though.

It also has Ardal O'Hanlon as a Cat person, which should be good.

Of course, the epsiode after this is a Dalek one, and they promise to show the Daleks as you've never seen them before...

She seems a bit stupid for a doctor.

They've had New New York in the last series before (New Earth). This one goes back to the same place, so we get the Cat People again, but lots more action and no hospitals.

Looks good from the trailer.

The last episode was good, interesting choice to play Shakespeare too and it worked well. The witches were very good, I'd like to see them return. The Martha Jones character got a bit more fleshed out too, though no more back history. I think they've got it right once again with the assistant.
