It seems that every season, Man Utd just keep getting stronger and stronger. The have the money and the reputation to grab a hold of those world class players. It seems that it doesn't matter how strong the others teams get: as they get stronger, Man Utd get stronger. I mean, take a look at who they are going for now, Juan Sebastian Veron. People are saying that Man Utd will be unstoppable if they manage to capture him, and this could be true.
What other teams out there can really give Man Utd the challenge for the title.

Well, the way I see it, there are really only two teams that can challenge them at the moment; Arsenal and Liverpool. Why? I'll tell you.

Arsenal are really buy big at the moment. Wenger has a lot of money to spend on those players that can help them to lift the title. They have managed to sign Jeffers, a fantastic striker who can get Arsenal those goals that they always need. And then there is Van Bronckhorst, a midifielder who, alongside Viera, can really help Arsenal to the title. And it now looks like they can get hold of Richard Wright, who is the perfect candidate to take over from Seaman. And, they still have more money to spend.

Liverpool had a brilliant end to the season, winning the UEFA cup, the FA cup, and the Worthington cup. This means that they will be going into the new season on a high. I haven't seen much of them buying players, but do they really need to. It may be a good idea, as Man Utd are getting stronger as they are buy more and more world class players. Liverpool certainly have the class and skill to do it.

Both of the above teams present a threat to Man Utd, although my view may change while teams are still buying players. Of course, there is Ipswich and Leeds aswell, but I haven't heard much about them either, and the fact that Ipswich could be losing their goalkeeper, Richard Wright, could hinder their progress, unless they can get another world class goalkeeper.

Can another team win the title next year? It is looking more likely, but only time will tell.

we will just see about that mattyboy! nothing is set in stone. Liverpool will have to be more consistent in the premiership. They cant just build themselves up for evey time they play man utd. Also the champions league will have a big toll on them. Alot of thier players have never played in the competition.

I think a lot of people are missing out Leeds. Leeds only finished 4th because they had a bad start to the season.

I think only liverpool are the main challengers to the premiership crown. The are the only team with quality throughout that seem to perform consistently. Arsenal seem to be losing the plot a bit. Last season they had soom awful results with the 3-0 defeat at highbury against m'boro and the demolition at old trafford. They have singed a few players yeah, but jeffers is a big gamble. He has played less than 30 games in the last two seasons. A bit of steep price to pay for somthing so young that has proved nothing. New keeper yeah, had to replace seaman sooner or later. And the other van guy from scotland ( wenger only bought him cos he wanted a van like ferguson). Wenger is loing the plot and i can see liverpool finishing higer than arsenal next season.

And that counts for Adams and Keown. They are both struggling to make most games in a season.

Arsenals ageing defence is getting younger with Ashley Cole and Sivinho, but Dixon is past it. This was evident at the FA cup.
