It seems that every season, Man Utd just keep getting stronger and stronger. The have the money and the reputation to grab a hold of those world class players. It seems that it doesn't matter how strong the others teams get: as they get stronger, Man Utd get stronger. I mean, take a look at who they are going for now, Juan Sebastian Veron. People are saying that Man Utd will be unstoppable if they manage to capture him, and this could be true.
What other teams out there can really give Man Utd the challenge for the title.
Well, the way I see it, there are really only two teams that can challenge them at the moment; Arsenal and Liverpool. Why? I'll tell you.
Arsenal are really buy big at the moment. Wenger has a lot of money to spend on those players that can help them to lift the title. They have managed to sign Jeffers, a fantastic striker who can get Arsenal those goals that they always need. And then there is Van Bronckhorst, a midifielder who, alongside Viera, can really help Arsenal to the title. And it now looks like they can get hold of Richard Wright, who is the perfect candidate to take over from Seaman. And, they still have more money to spend.
Liverpool had a brilliant end to the season, winning the UEFA cup, the FA cup, and the Worthington cup. This means that they will be going into the new season on a high. I haven't seen much of them buying players, but do they really need to. It may be a good idea, as Man Utd are getting stronger as they are buy more and more world class players. Liverpool certainly have the class and skill to do it.
Both of the above teams present a threat to Man Utd, although my view may change while teams are still buying players. Of course, there is Ipswich and Leeds aswell, but I haven't heard much about them either, and the fact that Ipswich could be losing their goalkeeper, Richard Wright, could hinder their progress, unless they can get another world class goalkeeper.
Can another team win the title next year? It is looking more likely, but only time will tell.

Iwouldn't just ignore chelsea yet their tam is shaping up nicely now with a good blend of young players who are doing well. The signings of Lampard and (almost certainly Petit) could prove very useful. In goal you've Bosnich (cudicini in reserve). In defence Babayaro, Desailly, Terry, Gallas, Ferrer, Melchiot. Midfield: Stanic, Gronkjaer, Lampard, Dalla Bona, Morris, (almost certainly Petit). Forwards: Zola,Gudjonsen, Hasselbaink (Gopefully victor but its only transfer speculation)
latest i have heard is that his agent has said that he was at the meeting last week with Vieira,wenger and the chairman. And he says it is the players desire not to be playing at arsenal next season.
But that sort of 'scoop' sells papers. Apparently.
