Right, i've just set up a XP-'98 Network, one comp with a super duper graphics card, the other with a moderate chipset. The games we've played/'got to work so far' are RedAlert2, AOE, and DungeonKeeper2. So can anyone recommend any games that we should get? Oh and has anyone managed to get Half-Life or any of its variants running across a network? As i am having a few difficulties... Cheers in advance

Right the IP's have been set, and the network still works. YaY! So should it be a simple process of running HL now?

Yeah, that's right I think.

Damn XP and it's auto network set up has made me forget how to set up 98 for a network now.

What about a subnet mask, 255.255.255.0?

Um well it shouldn't make much difference as long as both computers run the same version of it, but it would be best to run the latest version.

Oh ok, that's good, and it appears on both machines?
If so then alter the properties of that to use the IP 192.168.0.1 on the XP machine and 192.168.0.2 on the other one.

Shouldn't do.
Hang on, I used to have a tutorial for setting up a network via 98 somewhere in an old magazine...
