"Official Fable Thread"

Not quite sure why mine is more Official than any other, but there you go.

I reall like the look of this game. I really want to like the actual game, but I'm worried.

I really wanted to like Morrowind, but I didn't have 50+ hours to put into it before I could just about manage to kill a rat. Is the same thing likely to happen here?

I'm much more of a "half an hour here and there" type gamer, rather than a "6 hours straight? That's nothing!" type.

Also, talk amongst yourselves about Fable, it's out 2 months before Halo 2 anyway...

TeamXbox and Xbox IGN are apparently putting the first reviews up at 10am PST today (Friday 27th), which seems to be 6pm UK time.

This is sounding just too much like the hype over Black & White, with exactly the same wow-features being waved about like mana from heaven.

Be careful, you may just end up with a game that initially seems like the best thing ever, but scratch the surface and it's distinctly average with shiny distractions.

I was thinking about this last night, and I realised that these amazing features, such as 'hey, look at my beard grow!!' are probably there to distract you because they couldn't think of a half decent plot and the fighting is rubbish.

Don't be silly. Instead of digging people gardens up when they annoy you, you get to spill their guts all over the street and dance in their entrails.

I've not even played the game and I feel disappointed. It's goin to be Animal Crossing RPG, I tell you.

no that would be you, try reading a mag once in a while. In this months XBOXGAMER they did an interview with Peter Molyneux and did 20 things you must know about Fable, and if you look at no.19 it says,
They're already working in a sequel. Fable 1.5 is already well underway. Masses of new towns,items,quests and characters to interact with,plus ONLINE CO-OP play,all delivered via the magic of XBox Live.
