Searching around Play.com the other day and its said Conflict Vietnam is to be released a week today!!!.
I remember hyping up Conflict Desert Storm II for months and months before it came out but I am definetly getting this next week (and this will be the first game I have bought since Pro Evo 3).

Just to veer off topic slightly, I bought Shell Shock Nam 67 today. It was that or Conflict, but I figured after two Conflict games I was kinda ready for a new 'feel'. Let you know what it's like later on tonight when I've had a bash.
The fact that game were 'giving away' Full Metal Jacket on DVD for £7.00 with every purchase didn't influence me at all. Really. Also picked up Second Sight at the same time, will provide more info after the weekend which I've set aside for it.

He's called Cherry because it has something to do with where he's from. In the opening video there's a line that goes along the sorts of "I ain't fighting with a Cherry in my squad.
Only got to level 3 on hard (havent been playing the game due to coursework etc) but Cherry is the guys nickname because he is new so i guess that when you advance over a few levels he loses the cherry name.
It's new guys.

They have nicknames, "Ragman" "Junior" "Hoss" and "Cherry" who l;ater becomes "Doc" (that confused me as my brother tried to convince me Doc wasa new guy becasue Cherry died (which he didn't).
Doc is a medic, Junior's your sniper, Ragman is your Bradley guy, and Hoss = heavy weapons.
Grenade Launcher = coolest weapon ever.

Its alot harder but when you go into zoom mode now you have the end of the barrel in the middle of the screen (so you have to shoot down the sights) I will get the hang of it eventually. You get points at the end of each mission to upgrade your guys aswell, also lots of swearing.
The advert is quite frankly rubbish. Doesn't actually have any gameplay footage whatsoever.

I got it, only had a quick 2 mins go so no first impressions yet because you just have to get used to the controls again they make you go to different places etc.
