So I thought at first it'd plug in a control port, but MP6 being big with the multiplayer aspect, the four control ports will be full. So I guess it's plugging underneath?
And now I wonder what other games it'll be used for..

I agree, but I think Nintendo will use it on more than one game.. just like the Konga drums are being used in Jungle Beat.
More of an addition rather than an eye toy type million seller.

About the peripherals drawing even a little attention away from the Eyetoy? If so, as I said, he overestimates the impact these two peripherals will have.
"Goooo fhucking leheft, mayte!"
"Input not recognised"
"What te fark? Gofuckingleheft mayayteee boy!"
"Input not recognised"
"What'd'ee'sahay!?"
"Input not recognised"
Destruction ensues.
First one to get the computer to actually do something wins.

Detering interest? You seriously overestimate the impact these two things are going to have.. do you know how many units the Eyetoy has lifted this year? And a Super Mario game controlled entirely by microphone would be awful.
Wait a minute...
Knightmare game!!!!!!!!
"There's a sword, a gem and a lemon on the table"
"......take the lemon"
"I can probably take the lot really, it's not much"
"...the lemon will be fine"
"left a little..little more...more...a few more steps left...that's it just a few more....OMFG you moron you went too far!!"
Best [drunken] multiplayer game ever.
I can imagine a Super Mario game utilising this...
"JUMP! JUMP! FIRE! JUMP! DUCK! FIRE! JUMP! FIRE! JUMP... JUMP??? Oh, feck...!" ;D
'Effortless Gameplay' - the future! ;)
