As the most anticipated game of the year is released today, we need a place to discuss the happenings and to arrange games!

A few people asked for this to be created and so here we go.

Trusting everyone has their copy now, so let the fun begin tonight.

I, along with several others will be on Xbox but i know some are Ps3, but its the same game so no point in two threads!

No, Sony don't hire a 3rd party they allow the game companies to run their own, that's where the problem lies. The principal is very good and means a good company will have a server set up especially to cope with a specific game, but the theory doesn't allow for lazy companies not setting it up correctly!

Yes, not happy at all!

I did some reading last night, and it was due to the 3rd party who maintain the PSN servers allowing 100s of thousands of PS3 users to try and join the 'matchmaking' servers all at once. To save it crashing the entire PSN, they halted all online player access for MW2.

A fair few hours later, they put more servers online, and now allow chunks of 20k players onto the MP servers at a time.

I suppose this proves some difference between paying for Xbox Live (where Microsoft maintain the servers themselves) and using free PSN where Sony hire some 3rd party to maintain the servers. But saying that, I've never had a problem with PSN before, and hopefully all the issues should now be resolved. They'd better be resolved!

Got all 3 stars on the Alpha missions last night but that's all I had time for unfortunately. The sniper mission (Snipe Fi) was damn hard, until I realised you could use the predator drone after wave 1......... Just didn't see it.

Managed to get to level 25 last night.

Here is a question for you all - are you going to do prestiege mode?
Getting to Lv 70 will be a mission!!

I shot Emmie in the back! No idea what's happening though, I couldn't seem to stay in a party with you and pb. My NAT is set to moderate so I'll have a tinker around and get it back to open.
