Up for LIVE play this weekend? Haven't been on LIVE in ages and this looks like the only Xbox game that is of any interest this year, for me anyway. Pre-ordered the US version last week and I am really looking forward to it. I thought the first two were average at best but judging from preview/reviews and video footage this looks to be in a compeltely different league.

I got it this morning, gotta go to college at 1pm for a couple of hours and then I'll be on most of the evening.
It'll depend on when you play it - 1am will be full of non-existent Americans, where as 5pm will be full of British people.

Anyone managed to buy this from a store today? I would have it now, but the Gamestation manager was there and would let me have it :(

Well on Black Arrow every fourth server I join is populated by mainly British players so I expect there'll be enough games to go round especially since it seems to be this quarter's 'must have game'.
I think having a game where you can take a break from Americans will be refreshing and welcomed by many.

"The game is playable with players from around the world, though those with NTSC copies of the game won't be able to play against PAL users due to the speed and timing changes inherent in making a game for both standards. Just like in the world tour mode, you'll earn points for your online performance, and these go toward unlockable cars."

Although providing you have a PAL 60 TV they aren't sure if it will allow you to connect to NTSC games. Aussies seem to say there aren't any NTSC players on LIVE despite most NTSC players getting it Monday on early release.
Looks like PAL players can't play NTSC players as the NTSC version runs considerably faster and NTSC 60 is still faster than PAL 60.
