Which of you slaaaaags is getting Battlefront and has Live then?

Me thinks we should all get together on Live and play all the battles from the original trilogy at some point. Not particuarly fussed about the prequels though I would like to kick some Ja Ja Binks ass around the place.

Only 1 week till the game should be in my hands, will hopefully be filling the online gap that the crappy Burnout 3 servers left.

And Hedfix. What's your obsession with stats?

All they do for me is ruin a good online game because people play to win rather than to have fun.

Why so bothered about stats?

They just make games crap most the time. They make people take the games far too seriously and often cheat and glitch.

I'd actually prefer it if there were no ranking tables, maybe something that keeps track of how many kills you get, but nothing that gives you real rankings.

So it's basically a complete copy of Unreal 2?

1) Star Wars doth grate.

2) Cool sounds like what they were doing with Unreal 2, if it has stats I will definately get it. If not then I definately will not.

I think you're forgetting Porkins illustrious and clear minded bravery at leading the attack on the Death Star. Insinuating he was a fat loser who died is not very nice......

Yeah, each team has a certain amount of respawnpoints on the map and a certain amount of troops. You have to take control of as many respawn points as possible and I'm pretty sure this depleets the amount of troops available to the other side or something. Once the other team has no troops left or controls no respawn points, they're out of it. I think it works like that anyway, it's definetly something like that.

Oh and yeah you spawn on the map, each time you die you can choose which type of troop you want to be. Each team also has a certain amount of vehicles available to them, but once they're gone that's it vehicle wise.

Maybe they've cloned him from the DNA that fused with the Pork Scratchings? That would explain why Han had to ride out on a Taun-taun, in the blizzard, to find Luke. The Rebels were having trouble adapting the Land Speeders to work in the Arctic environment because Porkins had snagged all the cockpit heaters for his own ship. Which ship is Porkins in?

Why the very first Rebel ship that escapes the blockade. The Rebel Transporter. Cargo: 100 tonnes of Cola Cubes. Porkins chucked out all of the medical equipment and cots containing children, before setting off to Jabba's palace to try and get work as a Booty Hunter. He comes to grief, however, whilst taking a dump into the Scarlac pit.

2) I think there's control points across the map which you must secure. Also, there are several spawn points, but each team only starts with one. You have to capture the others, and they have different vehicles around them etc.

Having had a look at this it looks like I will be getting it despite it being *gags* StarWars.

A barrage of questions though as IGN were less than helpful: How do you win? Is there a mode where you have to hold areas for points? Do you re-spawn or do you take control of another unit already on the battlefield? Why oh why don't people explain multiplayer modes in more detail in previews and reviews?
