Only time will tell...
I've been playing PGR2 again for the last week, I am getting Burnout 3 and I want Juiced, NFS: Underground 2 and Forza.
All these racing games will not be good for my health, but who gives a damn? You only get one shot at life, so make the most of it.
I will be getting Forza, because it 'vill rock. :)
I don't want to be forced to race in a bog standard day to day car or do a cone challenge in something a local farmer would drive. I want fast cars and GT allows you to mod to stupid speeds.
Each to their own I suppose. I just found PGR2 a much more fun and engrossing game than the GT series has been.
If PGR2 allowed you to race any car in any race it may be a different matter. 90% of PGR2 was just dull to play.
The only incentive to keep playing Gran Turismo was to see who could build a car with the most horse power. It also had dull tracks from memory. Fun for a while, but after the millionth samey race for Toyota Corolla, it just began to grate somewhat. I had zero interest in replaying it when a memory card died on me. I just moved on to the second one at that point.
PGR2 dull? I still don't understand this one. It has masses of cars, around 120 with the download packs, over all sorts of categories. It has everything from Ascaris to Zondas with Dodge Rams, Volvos and BMWs in between. That coupled with a huge range of tracks from real life places and it has an infinite life span. It looks better and handles better than everything else around. Sure, I can't customise things, but if I wanted to do that I'd just buy NFS:U.
Burnout 3? Fun, but so far from perfection it's unbelievable. It obviously was allowed to be released without testing.
IMO PGR2 is on par with those two games, but PGR has the online mode as well, so thats a big advantage. I think you have just played with the wrong people online. I've clocked over 100 hours on Live, and loved every mintue, wether it be a serious race and just pr*tting around in mini's.
But there is one game that surpasses them all (no not Out Run) and that MSR, whay a blummin game!
> Not bothered. At all.
Hush Sam.
