Can't find the old one.

Metal/Heavy Metal/Industrial/Darkwave/Whatever other crappy genre the media has lazily labelled a group of bands with.

Punk/Heavier Pop can be included too if you feel like mentioning some stuff that's not quite 'metal'.

So, any new stuff out there that's worth a listen?

But well written none-the-less :D Come on, at least it has a clear meaning. Rather than most of the lyrical shyte that in the charts these days.

Decent words?

Slipknot example..

Lush.

Actually the older albums were the crazy screaming-cant-hear-the-lyrics-please-play-more-than-4-notes kind of music, but no theyve mellowed out a bit. Their lateast album has 2 (or was it 3.....?) acoustic songs on it, and there wasnt a single swear word on the whole album. Goes to show that what most people think about them is actually total bolllocks

Slipknot are ok my friend has all their albums and is always listening to it in english lessons. I think they play their instruments good but just getting a bit to screamy now.

no offence but if they're your favourites then you have some awful taste.

You've obviously never actually listened to any heavy metal. Download some slipknot lyrics, metallica, cannible corpse, deicide, iron maiden, those ebands all have decent words. Infact the lyricst form Iron Maiden is an Oxford english graduate :p
