Is it just me or did this game sorta come out without a bang? I mean Animal Crossing got a bigger reception prior to release than this classic title.
I haven't seen one advert, most magazines are plastering Paper Mario or Donkey Konga on their covers and most Nintendo of Europe stuff is far more interested in last weeks GBA SP price drop and Pokemon release.
Poor Pikmin 2, I hope it won't effect the sales too much.

Yep, and the Blossom one bears uncanny resemblence to the second level from the original, and the third area is the Distant Spring level but re-jigged a little. Olimar makes some reference to it at some point, looks like whoever's garden the Pikmin were running around in had a bit of landscaping done since the first game :)
I yesterday completed the Awakening Wood totally, you get a funkier ending music to the day when you do. That final cave was a beeyotch.. I lost about 50 Pikmin, but none on the last boss :D
Wonderful game.
Really is an amazing game, already played it over 12 hours.
Also, anyone else notice that the 4th area is the first and last level of the original Pikmin combined?

I lost half of my Pikmin due to those electric thing.

Got them a few days ago. Invisible to poison, electric and fire.
Brilliant.
I'm 18 days in and have 5300 pieces - I've probably spent more time so far knocking down all the walls and collecting Pikmin than actually bothering about the treasure. Much to the annoyance of that idiot owner who e-mails me with threats every day. Ah well.
When he was shaken off I whistled him over, avoided the attack and threw him back on again.
It took ages of course, but it's easy to keep a single pikmin alive, especially white ones as they can actually move at your speed.
Try doing it with about 15 whites.
Alternativly you can feed him whites one at a time to kill him through poison.
