Meh, speed and technical skill isn't everything. Some of the most simple riffs can often be just as satisfying to hear as someone playing thirty notes per second.

That's not fast. And it's awful for what it is. Neo-classical is ultimately pointless, and it's the same technique over and over and over again - no wonder people get so quick at it, there's bog-all else to do playing those scales!

To nit-pick even further...overdriven Ibanez guitars? C'mon, a baby chimp could play that stuff! Doesn't take a lot to make those minor scales into minor pentatonic scales, add a bit of chromatism, then we enter the world of blues which is much more interesting and expressive - i.e. actual music!

Sweet Child O' Mine is indeed easy. Musically it's great though, and infinitely better than that dire video and the crap that people like Yngwie play.

Fair enough.

It's just a little too high-pitched for my liking, like Buckhead's stuff which is technically brilliant but grating on the eardrums never-the-less. :)
